The real problem here is twofold:

      1) Canelo is the cash cow the WBC is just not going to risk losing.

      2) Lil g is partly the victim of his own rhetoric.

You can't run around saying "anyone in 3 or 4 weight classes" yet
never fight outside of 160 your whole career and expect it to never
come back to bite you in the arse. You can't say 154 for one guy
then balk at 155 for the guy who got beat by the guy you would do
      154 for.

Fans have to ask themselves the question:

When Canelo, fresh off a million PPV buys, goes to the WBC and says:

"I want the fight, but they won't agree to let me defend at the weight
YOUR ORGANIZATION JUST SANCTIONED FOR A TITLE FIGHT AGAINST KHAN"...

What do you really think is going to happen?

He accepted the CW and won the fight, thus propelling his career to new heights! Now he's a boxing legend. He's telling GGG that accepting the CW is worth the risk!

This guy is a ******. He downplays his opponents yet won't have his guy fight him. Also he claims he won't give him an advantage. Canelo is the middleweight champion. Technically what advantage is there defending your middleweight title against another middleweight?

There's no CW offered, much less 157. How many times they need to tell you they're ducking before it sinks in, dummy?

ggg been at 160 since amateurs so 160 is an advantage for him.. canelo has never fought at 160 so no he is not a "real" middleweight. same way how oscar winning a MW strap vs sturm didn't mean he was actually a middleweight. thats why bhop agreed to a catchweight of 157 for the opportunity to face a bigger name. .canelo calls all the shots, period. hes the A, B and C side, hes the top dog in boxing. and ggg has stated 154 is no problem, so whats the big fckn deal, drop weight beat canelo and now you kingpin. .lil g wants to stay in his comfort zone and never sacrifice a damn thing.

Oscar won the then less respected Wbo in a robbery over weakest link Sturm, and was a midget vs Hopkins, having won his first belt at 130. But he offered 157 cause he wanted that fight, no mando required

This chump holds the lineal MW belt, is heavier than mando fight night, won't budge from 155 (except vs Cotto, wanted 156), will drop the belt to avoid mando
