Ok well since we can't just simply talk boxing on here, here are some pics of Lara absolutely schooling the guy GGG is on hands and knees begging for a fight with:

The irony of this thread. Literally everyone calls Floyd out and they don't get a fight.
Floyd basically called GGG out by saying he's easy, then won't fight GGG. GGG calls Floyd out, so what was Floyd's excuse this time? Go beat ward then come back down to 147 then u got a fight or something along those lines

          1. would HBO even consider Lara, after he laid eggs on their air?

          2. could sanctioning body issues be overcome that would allow GGG to defend his titles against a 154 pounder who is unranked at 160?

          3. could the OBVIOUS financial problems be overcome? It stands to reason that if Lara got $1 million + for Zaveck, he would want considerably more for a GGG fight. Is the revenue there? Does anyone outside 7 people on the NSB boards think the fight is worth the extra $$$?

          4. could the PR angle overcome the obvious opinion by many that the fight is irrelevant and GGG would get zero credit for smashing a 154 pounder?

          5. Theres still the Haymon issue. Sure, the Wade and Khan fights are a step in the right direction, but nobody knows how the HBO - Haymon relationship is REALLY doing. As for Khan, GBP says they only dealt with Khans dad, and for Wade K2 says they only dealt with Tom Brown. So there is still some uncertainty as far as dealing with Haymon is concerned.....

These are legitimate questions. And a few tweets from Decubis doesnt make them all go away..............
All these are easily solved by Lara either grabbing a MW belt or becoming a mando to one of GGG's. All tweet, no action.

Yet, you guys are salivating over him fighting a JMW named Canelo! lol This about this shyt before you post!

I do think Canelo/GGG is the best fight for either right now but Canelo isn't having it yet so it's not on the table. The excuses veil a deep fear that Lara might actually beat GGG. Don't worry guys, Lara isn't beating GGG. Tip; you should WELCOME this fight so you can actually brag about 1 (ONE) name on GGG's resume and put the haters at bay! Quit being so simple and look at the big picture. This makes your boy look good and saves his joke resume.
Canelo weighs 175 on fight night, you think he's a JMW? Cmon man i consider you a decent poster but don't play that angle.

Oh, damn. That easy? I'll bet it's a fast process too. Where are they giving these out and will I need to show an ID?

No fear whatsoever Lara beats GGG. If Lara moves up to MW and proves himself worthy then we can talk about a matchup. I'd personally love to see that fight but it's just not gonna happen right now, you know this just like everyone else.

How many of those who paid for that fight feel like they got their money's worth and would pay to see Lara fight again? How well does a Lara/Lemieux PPV do? If anything, Lara's performance in front of a massive PPV audience hurt his chances for getting the GGG fight. I remember when Lara fought Rodriguez, his corner was urging him to take him out towards the end of the fight. Instead, he played it extremely safe and cruised to an easy UD. That about sums him up for me.

Nay nay, don't twist it. You said the thing against Lara was him being JMW. Canelo weighed 154.5 in the last year. Let's be down to earth here. I'll be cool and concede some points for Golovkin's side; if I was arguing for GGG I would say the problem isn't really Lara being too small or unworthy, but rather that it's a case of the risk being not worth the reward. GGG is in a nice spot, like Tyson in the late 80's. He killing everyone in his division and the fans love it. If he lost to Lara it would be a huge blow to his career and, that's exactly what it is; a career, a job. His family's future is more important than what a bunch of idiots on the internet (including me) are saying. So, in that sense, I'll be honest and say it's a bad idea because even though GGG would likely win, Lara has the style to steal fights. Look how many careers Hopkins derailed. You must be careful when signing fights with guys like that.

So, as long as we're being honest, I don't really disagree with those who say it does little for GGG on the grand scale. It does wonders for GGG fans who argue on the internet, but isn't a wise move for someone in GGG's spot. I'm just busting balls about the reasoning some are giving. The answer is right, but the math they're using to get the answer is flawed, IMO.
