I can't help but notice how they emphasize "super welterweight" just to avoid even saying the word "middleweight."

Even though he's technically been a Jr. Middleweight.

If he says that he's just simply not a middleweight then I can respect that, but I'd like to see him compete at the customary 154 lb. limit after the Khan fight.

Boxing needs to enforce the weight classes. The catch-weight concept should only come into play for very special fights, it should not be routine terms for any fighter regardless of popularity. I know Floyd and Manny really broke the wheel on this, but I hate to see it become the norm.

I didn't even think about that until you mentioned it but that is an excellent observation! Canelo and his team are trying to use every subtle psychological trick in the book to make themselves appear uncowardly.

It's looking like Canelo won't be fighting Golovkin any time soon. Maybe after GGG gets old then the fight might happen. Oscar, Canelo and company would be making a wise choice to avoid this fight. Cowardly, but wise.

What would happen if GGG breaks Alvarez apart and KO's him? That would drop Canelo's stock dramatically. It could be the end of the big money fights for him. I hope I'm wrong and Canelo finds his balls, but I really doubt that will happen.

You laugh like I made a joke. Canelo is the one who is saying he isnt a middleweight yet wants to masquerade as one. Oscar has said before that he isnt a middleweight and doesnt have his "man strength".

I would say Heiland would be in line for a fight since he is WBC #1. Any issue you have with ranking need to be addressed toward Mr Sulaiman.

The IBF ordered the Wade fight. They ordered the Johnson fight, then ordered the Wade fight. The IBF had just stripped Fury, and Golovkin no reason to believe they wouldn't strip him. There is no reason to believe they wouldn't act after ordering two fights.

Further, it would be hypocritical of Gennady not to fight a mandatory challenger. How can he want to enforce his status as a mandatory for the WBC belt and avoid his IBF mandatory? Also, it would be hypocritical for him to expect the WBC to strip Alvarez if he were allowed to avoid Wade.

You say that Golovkin will end up fighting a bum. Well, considering that the WBC has supposedly ordered Canelo-Golovkin negotiations to take place after Khan, and the WBA has ordered a fight with Danny Jacobs if that isnt successful, if Golovkin ends up fighting a "bum", it cant be Gennnadys fault.

Then why the hell do you RTards call Mayweather a ducker for fighting Ortiz, Guerrero, and Baldomir??? Outside Berto and Maidana pretty much ALL Floyd's fights have been Mandatories and / or for BELTS!

Heck I even rate Berto x100 better than Wade. At least he was a 2x Champion. Wade will never be one.

Who the hell rates the top 30 P4P? The only source I know thay does is boxrec. Outta curiosity I looked it up. They have Jacobs at 23 and Saunders at 73. But they also have Walters at at 56 and Lomenchanko at 57. So take those ratings with a grain of salt. P4P is very subjective. But my eye test tells me that if Jacobs or Billy Joe is one of the top 30 fighters in the boxing. We are existing in by far the weakest era in the history of the sport.

Some damn good boxing writers on Bleacher Report do it after all the big fights. And they go in good detail why they drop or move said fighters up. Larry Fittz. Is one of them writers I think knows his sht.

How the hell is Canelo is able to drain down so much and then go way back up again in the space of 24 hours and seemingly with no ill affects. I mean he goes from 155 to like 175 or even 180 between weigh in and fight night. That's like what 13-15%? increase in weight in 24 hours.

I also like Premier boxing organisation. Also. It ranks the Top 100 boxers for every weight class. And show all their fights and what ranking fighter was at before he lost or won.

Same for Golovkin, except that I do think Martinez, Cotto, Alvarez, Sturms teams were the one ducking.
