What if Canelo comes in just over 155 lbs and has to drop the title
Then beats Khan & doesn't have to fight Golovkin ?

That would be a win-win for both fighters. Canelo could continue to fight whichever fighters he so chooses, and Golovkin could fight a "real middleweight" for the then vacant WBC belt

He can't lose the title unless he comes in 161. He just gets to pay Khan more, and be even more of a laughing stock

Hahaha!!!! Like Jorge Heiland?!! Yeah my money is on GGG fighting another Tomato CAN. Did you know Wade was a 100-1 underdog??? That's like the BIGGEST mismatch in the last 25+ YEARS. It even topped Rod Salka vs. Danny Garcia!!! At least Danny was BRUTALIZED in the media for that fight unlike GGG.

We ALL know GGG's next fight will be talk of a big name and then actually fights a bum like Heiland. Like ALWAYS

I think it's probably got something to do with Wade being Golovkin's mandatory and not being able to unify with the other champions. That's just me being logical though.

So earn a JMW strap then and let the middleweights deal with the middleweight belt.

You laugh like I made a joke. Canelo is the one who is saying he isnt a middleweight yet wants to masquerade as one. Oscar has said before that he isnt a middleweight and doesnt have his "man strength".

I would say Heiland would be in line for a fight since he is WBC #1. Any issue you have with ranking need to be addressed toward Mr Sulaiman.

The IBF ordered the Wade fight. They ordered the Johnson fight, then ordered the Wade fight. The IBF had just stripped Fury, and Golovkin no reason to believe they wouldn't strip him. There is no reason to believe they wouldn't act after ordering two fights.

Further, it would be hypocritical of Gennady not to fight a mandatory challenger. How can he want to enforce his status as a mandatory for the WBC belt and avoid his IBF mandatory? Also, it would be hypocritical for him to expect the WBC to strip Alvarez if he were allowed to avoid Wade.

You say that Golovkin will end up fighting a bum. Well, considering that the WBC has supposedly ordered Canelo-Golovkin negotiations to take place after Khan, and the WBA has ordered a fight with Danny Jacobs if that isnt successful, if Golovkin ends up fighting a "bum", it cant be Gennnadys fault.

For the secondary weigh-in, which was requested by team Angulo, Canelo weighed 166 lbs [super middleweight] at 3:00 p.m. PT last Saturday. He then re-hydrated up an incredible 8 lbs to come into the fight at 174 against Angulo. "

I gonna tell you something, I have had few amateur fights here in Europe when I was 18-19 years old(I'm now 31).

So I have been making weight, I could rehydrate at best 6-7 lbs eating almost nothing the day before then running to lose some sweat (never did that much by the way).

I just DON'T UNDERSTAND how you can lose then rehydrate 20 lbs in 24H and being competitive for 36 minutes in a such violent and intense sport like boxing.
Are those guys being blood drained?

                      Can somebody please enlight me?
Maybe Canelo is a genetic freak, haha.
But more likely, he's getting a helping hand from advanced, modern doping technology. He stays very lean and doesn't carry much body fat. That would also help. He might also have a genetic predisposition for that type of water loss vs fluid retention. But it's really likely he's getting some kind of help that isn't legal in the sports world.
