Cotto didn't pay step aside fee. That's one of the reasons he stripped of wbc belt.

The money doesn't surpass the risk like it does for most fights so GGG isn't getting a big fight til someone with something to prove wants to fight him.

If the WBC is legit looking to crack the whip they need to get a confirmation this fight will be made or strip Canelo before Khan somehow. Not sure how they legit get confirm this, but if they can work some angle they should. I think the allure of $300k in sanctioning fees will not make that happen & I still question that happening post Khan as Canelo is a guaranteed $600k a year for the WBC. If he doesn't have the title he has now he'll have some WBC title.
Where do you get the 300k sanctioning fee from pandas ? In the WBC rule book it says any fight with a combined purse or greater than $1.5 million the sanctioning fee will be the sum of $25,000 and that is for any male world title fight and eliminator world title fight.... The bottom line is the WBC have 17 divisions in total and each have a champion every champion will earn them a minimum of $60k a year and that's not including elimination fights...canelo will be no different to any other fight that the purse bid totals over $1.5 million so they ain't gonna lose sleep over it and remember it was $40k they wanted from cotto as sanctioning fee and he never paid it

GGG fought a pointless fight this past weekend, waiting for a Canelo fight that pretty much everybody knows isn't gonna happen. At least if isn't gonna happen on GGG's terms. And when it doesn't happen, its on to Saunders, who doesn't wanna fight him. Or Jacobs, who doesn't wanna fight him. And even if they do fight him, neither match-up is interesting. So come fall, if Canelo, Jacobs, or Saunders fights GGG, is GGG given another pass for fighting anyone other no hoper?

I don't think you'll find a single fight fan that won't admit that the top guys in GGG's division don't wanna fight him. You won't find a single fight fan that won't admit that GGG is the class of the middleweight division. All critics of his, like myself, are trying to as is when does the excuse of the top fighters in his division not wanting to fight him stop being an excuse for him to fight ****ty competition? And even if they did, he fights in a piss poor division with no compelling match-ups outside of Canelo. Whether you, me, or anyone else agrees, GGG is being talked about as potentially the best fighter P4P in the world. He's also being mentioned in the same breath as ATGs. So he needs to start seeking out other elite fighters because there's none in his division. And in doing that, he needs to be just as willing to look up the scale for other elite fighters as he to look down the scale. And if he's not, he's just as big a joke or fraud as Canelo or anynody else who supposedly doesn't wanna fight him.
He wants the belts he let canelo have his fight with cotto on good faith they would face him next and as I said that was signed with the WBC ....now canelo looks like he is about to turn yellow and make a Uturn and your blaming golovkin for this ....now this past weekend fight no matter how easy it was for him was a mandatory put on his by the IBF and it was taureano who pulled out from the fight and that's why wade got the shot....this was always a fight before the fight and now your making it sound that golovkin sought this fight out...no he didn't he had to fight him or lose his belt and golovkin wants all the belts......no one wants to fight golovkin your right about that but golovkin has every right to win all the belts and become the undisputed middleweight champion of the world....it's all the other f@ckers in his division that are avoiding him not his avoiding them....as I said let him get the belts then he can turn his attention on another division and go for belts there and if he don't go for the tougher fights in another division because he can't get a decent challenge at his own weight then I will be the first one to say his resume is not on a par with the likes of leonard,Hearns,Jones or duran ......but for now let the man do his thing and get his belts...our conversation is over on this matter now

If Canelo wasn't Mexican, I would buy this. If Canelo wasn't Mexican, he would have probably been stripped already tbh. I don't see them doing this to "their" guy even though it's the right thing to do.

I believe thats the promoters sanctioning fee.

Boxers pay 3% of their payday. I believe there is or I thought there was a 300k ceiling which is why I said that particular number, but I didn't see that in this rulebook. But basically $10M = $300k to the WBC or the other groups (iirc, seem like all got the same rule here, but I could be incorrect) & I'd be surprised if Canelo isn't making $10M+ vs Khan.

Boxers’ Bout Fees. For each WBC championship and elimination contest, each participating boxer must pay three percent (3.0%) of all gross funds or any other form of consideration received by the boxer relating to the bout, including but not limited to the gross purse, compensation derived from pay-per-view, cable or satellite transmission, television broadcast, or internet distribution, merchandising, concessions, sponsorships, shared promotional fees (in cases in which the boxer is promoter or co-promoter), or otherwise, including amounts calculated and paid following the contest.

                  Question:
Do you guys actually think that Canelo cares about having a title belt?

I doubt that I was, since the statement is coming from you. Still, rather than playing 'dueling wallets', K2 negotiated and ponied up $500k to make the Wade fight (a figure that was likely ten times anything Dominic Wade has picked up for a purse, and a figure that was more than the payout to every other Golovkin opponent sans Lemieux).

Alvarez will fight Khan on May 7th, will likely vacate the WBC 160 belt before May 10th(the WBC trying to play big **** likely eliminated any cordiality), and the WBA will then mandate Golovkin-Jacobs before May 21st.

With Barclays' and Showtime's backing (the payout to the fighters for Jacobs-Quillin was likely $4m, and Golovkin-Jacobs in New York is a bigger fight), Lou DiBella(NYC/Northeast promoter for PBC) is likely walking into any purse bid scenario with $4m-$5m in his pocket (revenues from the live gate at Barclays, international TV rights interest in the fight, and a fight that Showtime is likely to put on PPV adds up quick).

It's gonna cost K2 a boatload of money to prevent this fight from going to purse bid, no matter how much you want to minimize it (Dibella bids $4m, Golovkin gets a guaranteed $3m, Jacobs gets $1m, and Jacobs/DiBella share in whatever upside there is on the fight).

He cares some, but I bet he cares a lot more about getting stripped of one for ducking. At least he should, he's Mexican
