OK, vacate or get stripped -- Canelo still holds that "lineal" title though... He may fight GGG for that title sometime down the line. Which I still doubt.

Canelo is not being stripped or vacating anything.
They will sit down and an announcement will be made that both sides feel the fight will be bigger next year. Canelo will fight in September, GGG in November and mr. step aside will take the deal presented if he wants the fight next year.
Don't be so gullible people, the WBC will never pull rank on their Mexican cash cow.

The WBA admitted that they were greedy, small-minded, wankers, when they started handing out multiple titles per division..... AND, they promised to fix the problem by removing those bull**** titles and only having 1 "champ" per division.

re read my post. I didn't say anything about fighting two months later. I said GGG will fight in late 2016 and hope to get the fight next year. As in Cinco de Drinko 2017.

Lineal is lineal, and nothing more. It has to be legitimised by the fighter just like any other title. You pretty much have to beat Golovkin to have any legitimacy as the champion at middleweight
