Awesome. Give GGG his precious belt. Then Canelo can go on and fight in big event after big event. While GGG and all his dumbass supporters circle jerk each other with him beating the Wade's of the world, calling out smaller guys, and ducking bigger guys.

Who is Canelo going to fight in these big events if he doesn't fight Golovkin? Will he call out another smaller guy with a name again and drag him up to 155 while avoiding fights at 160?

Canelo is doing exactly what you claim Golovkin is doing, you have it backwards man, he's avoiding bigger guys or even guys the same size as him and instead fighting a welterweight.

If you think belts are what motivates GGG, I got some swamp land in LA that I'd like to sell you. If belts were talking is motivation, he would already be the WBC champ. If belts were his motivation, he wouldn't constantly talk about fighting Floyd. Belts only became his motivation when Ward came calling. Canelo is not being stripped or vacating anything.
They will sit down and an announcement will be made that both sides feel the fight will be bigger next year. Canelo will fight in September, GGG in November and mr. step aside will take the deal presented if he wants the fight next year.
Don't be so gullible people, the WBC will never pull rank on their Mexican cash cow.

I thunk the obvious difference is that Canelo has earnes the right to choose when and how he wants to do things. Based mostly on his resume. And secondly because of his drawing power. He made concessions to make big events happened with Floyd and Cotto. He fought Austin Trout after Austin had outclassed Cotto. When it really didn't make financial sense because of the risk of losing the Floyd fight. He fought a guy in Lara that nobody, even GGG himself, is eager to fight. Not necessarily outta fear of losing. But he's a guy that's hard to look good against.

The question is, when is GGG gonna do any of these things? When is he gonna make concessions to a bigger star in order to make a big fight happen? When is he gonna fight a guy like Ward or a guy like Lara? Even though it may not be the best business move. Do I think Canelo should fight GGG? Absolutely. But I also think GGG needs to be willing to budge against bigger stars. And I think he needs to start taking better fights even when the risk/reward isn't necessarily the smartest business wise.

He's way too thick for Junior Middle. He loses power and has no reach at Middleweight.
He's too small for his real fighting weight which is Super Middleweight and would get demolished.
He does not have Rocky Mariciano power.
I think he's screwed because once he's close to 30 yrs old he'll be too drained to even consider Middleweight

I guess the difference between the two of us is I don't care how popular Canelo thinks he is, hes trying to act like Mayweather but the problem is hes not Mayweather. Not that I agreed when Mayweather did this stuff with all the demands but he was in a position where everybody wanted to be the one to snatch his zero so guys would bend to get the fight. Just because Mayweather retired doesn't mean Canelo is automatically elevated to that status. Hes a good, young, popular fighter but his ego is bigger than he is.

If you take away the middleweight title and Canelo was asking for a catchweight for Golovkin I'd be fine with it but when you take into consideration Canelo hasn't made 154 in about 3 years and holds the middleweight title that Golovkin is the mandatory challenger to it becomes bull****. If he didn't want to defend it after winning it, fine then give it up, but he didn't, hes holding onto it playing these games thinking everybody has to do what he says. Hes not gaining any fans with this ****.
