Why is Ward willing to wait to 2017 for Kovalev but not GGG!

You guys are trying to argue that 2+2=3 and everyone is just laughing at you. Just accept the truth and find something else to argue about that doesn't make you look foolish.
He could have done that on BET, in front of 300k viewers. Not on PBC, not with that promoter. Remember him crying how its unfair, they don't make the other guys move up. Hence all the tuneups. It's not often you see a respected p4per move up that gingerly.

If you want to continue the nonsense, feel free. I'm bored with watching you squirm and can't respect guys who simply won't relent when they are so clearly wrong.

Wrong about what? About him whining about being forced up? That was published right here. Snails pace in moving up? ask Zac Dunne, Rohan Murdock, or Lampley who sounded like Kov wouldn't even happen till 2017. 168 hard to make? He said it himself.

Fatboy couldn't make 168 anymore and he wanted to pick on a smaller opponent.

Because the hate is real, guys freak about him actually warming up to the new weight class with just 2 fights after a LONG layoff.

No matter how you guys try to spin this, Ward has the biggest balls in boxing right now. No other dominant, undefeated champ is going after another dominant, undefeated champ in the next weight class up. Staying at 168 and fighting those chumps would have been the easy way.
It's not that simple. A lot of the Haymon fighters didn't want to fight him, and he couldn't agree with other guys - Abraham turned him down outright (bc he's still bitter), and Froch wanted the fight in Nottinham, Ward refused. So he actually didn't have many options.

That contract he signed with Roc pays him $2m/fight - in order to actually make money off him, they needed to find him bigger fights. SMW sucks, so he said he was 'forced' to move up.

As far as balls.. there's one thing I don't like. After Ward beat Barrera, he said "yeah, the match with Kovalev should happen soon". While Kovalev said "November is a beautiful time. let's do it". Ward was very noncommital.

Speculating into the nuances of contractual obligations is never an argument fans can make because there are no hard facts for us to work with and it's all one fan's guess vs the other. I have a counterpoint but am not going down the rabbit hole with you for the aforementioned reasons.

Regarding the semantics of "happen soon" vs "Nov is good", are you kidding me? That's a real reach. Ward has always been cautious about what he's said and, because he's an intelligent guy, avoids getting into biz specifics because he is not the manager or promoter. Kovalev doesn't control when he fights either so why would his version of "sure" be more valuable than Andre's version of "sure" when they've both stated that the plan is to fight each other this year?? Again, a bit of a reach there.

Maybe I wasn't clear - in the majority of articles I've read, and in the post-fight interview I mentioned, Ward has NOT said that the plan is to fight this year. He's been very careful about not saying anything specific, even though HBO basically mandated that they have to fight in the fall. That's the part that makes me scratch my head - Ward has gone to painstaking degrees of NOT confirming the fight w Kov.
