    Why is Ward willing to wait to 2017 for Kovalev but not GGG!

    Look I am not saying that GGG > Kovalev. However I do find it interesting Ward could have stayed at 168lbs and fought the likes of Groves, Chudinov, Jack, Degale in the meantime while Golovkin finished his business at 160lbs. Why is Ward not consistent with his message.

    Ward needed to do what he had to do to get him a HBO deal, from the looks HBO wasnt intrested in anything but a road to Kovalev for him,. so he took the deal. Its just buisness you dont always get to call the shots you want, sometime you have to play ball but with that being said waiting around for another man is sucker shit, you push forward with your own career no matter what.

      Kovalev-Ward and Golovkin-Canelo are better fights on every metric than Golovkin-Ward

      168 blows right now.

        Why did ward even mention kovalev.

        Kovalevs name got hbo to pay for tune ups
        At the price of a normal hbo card for ward

        Ward has used hbo's hot ticket names to sell his fights. If he didnt , no one would pay attention

        He beat a journeyman and a inexperienced old cuban . the urban way is to wait your opponent out. Age , wear and tear and hopefully a loss.

        Ward= poor mans floyd

          I don't keep up on the business side of things, but someone in another thread said it was because HBO wasn't going to give Ward a contract unless he agreed to fight Kov.

            He would have waited if GGG agreed to the fight like Kovalev did. Unlike GGG, Ward isn't a little ***** that will wait hand foot for another fighter that isn't even willing to sign an official fight contract

                He has to make sure he is properly juiced. VADA testing, hopefully they detect any foul substances.

                  Haha off course because Ward schools GGG , cant have that now can we lol better for GGG to stay with the Wade class he looks great there , at least Andre showed real class and went up for the most dangerous man in boxing and Andre is quite a bit smaller .

                  GGG we can go 172 for Froch and then back to MW .

                  GGG we want 164 for Ward because its hard to go back to MW .

                    1. Andre Ward is penciled in to fight Sergey Kovalev come Fall 2016
                    2. Ward fought Paul Smith June 2015 and, though acknowledging the boxing business and hype being what it was, was ready to fight Golovkin as his next fight if offered, to simply dead all the talk that Golovkin and his camp were doing.

                    You can't talk about "finishing business at 160lbs", when you've already run to this press with wanting to fight Floyd(going down in weight), Cotto, 'Canelo', Hopkins(going up in weight), ChavezJr(going up in weight), and Froch(going up in weight), without needing to "finish business" as an impediment to any of those bouts.
