The WBC will grant Canelo another extension. Sadly.

Canelo gives GGG the belt, fights Manny in Sept, does a million PPV buys. Meanwhile, GGG fights some ass clown like he did tonight in a fight nobody except his nerd fanbase cares about. Hmmmm, Canelo wins.

Canelo isn't going anywhere near ggg. Sadly we have the same situation in the light heavyweight division. Super woman won't fight Kovalev. Chickenson, canelo and Wilder are all happy with one little belt.

I agree. They should just give Golovkin the damn belt so that he can spend the rest of his career fighting the Dominic Wades and Willie Munroe's of the middleweight division.

Ironically the only person man enough to move up and face the top comp is ward a person who wiped out his division and is proven already.
Even if Golovkin got knocked out and vanished, who would Alvarez fight at 160lbs that would be a better option than what he's doing now(fighting the biggest names available at 155, with eyes on fighting at 154 if a title fight comes up)?

Outside of physically not being able to fight below 160, there's literally nothing to compel Alvarez to fight at 160.

              note:

-WBC is likely to make Alvarez WBC 160 champ emeritus (Khan fights Alvarez, wins the fight, and likely takes on another junior middleweight)

-Saunders/BoxNation will likely be weighing a Golovkin fight against offers to fight Eubank Jr and Daniel Jacobs

Agreed and anybody else that comes along. Retire as the undefeated, undisputed middleweight champion he should.

Exactly. Canelo isn't ******, far from it. GGG or his people said anyone at 154-168, then when it came time to prove it, all the sudden GGG acts like he won't budge. So which is it? 160 only? Or 154-168? If it's 160 only then fine, go fight cans for a half mil, or drop to 155 and fight Canelo for 5 mil. Even if he loses from being too weak, he still has a career. And he is 34 now, no spring chicken. Time he woke up and realized, you do what Canelo says if you want the serious paycheck. Canelo is the boss, not GGG.

                    Well played.

But not good enough. Should have threatened their life and career. Maybe that'd get his/their team(s) notice. Only way you land these known ducker's is threatening their current and future success in this business without actually fighting them. In your face **** talking to be clear. I swear it's like these guys don't have the business acumen to make their case and blowout and own their adversary. Say what you want about Floyd but he was a great **** talker and silent instigator
