That's exactly what will happen. Alvarez will forfeit the WBC title to GGG. The problem is that the linear world championship will still be with Alvarez until he loses or vacates it. I want GGG to win the REAL world title, not just a bunch of meaningless alphabet titles. But Alvarez is scared to death of him. So are all the other top guys. That's why GGG can only secure fights against guys like Wade.

I actually think canelo can beat GGG but what he is doing is straight up holding that belt hostage like what cotto did. If GGG got knocked out canelo would magically become a middleweight no problem.

GGG will get his belt by June 1st when WBC strips Canelo.. That why they need to start talking to the current WBO champion for a fight in the fall

The proof will be the time allowed by the WBC to see if Canelo will one keep the title and two Golden Boy Promotions and K2 Can come to an agreement.

Canelo still has to get by Amir Khan which will be no give me fight.

GGG did his part now it's time to see Canelo will get by his challenge.

Eventually this fight will happen. Just hopefully all goes to plan and it happens in 5 months
