I don't believe that Ward wanted the fight bad enough. It's another Bute situation with him where he thinks he's worth more than he really is.

Ward was the B-side demanding a 50/50 split. You can make all the excuses you want about how they're on the same level and the competition, but when Golovkin is doubling your attendance numbers and putting up better ratings, and fighting more often on a network while you're getting your ass kicked by Dan Goossen for 2 years. Then you're not the A-side and you don't deserve 50/50.

Loeffler even confirmed that they sent him a proposal for a fight after the Lemieux fight had been signed and they asked for a 50/50 split.

I'm sure after the reports came out that Wade-GGG has already sold 16,000 tickets, his last fight with Lemieux was 20,000, that dose of reality must of hit Ward pretty hard. His last fight in his hometown did only 8532. Which all but confirmed his B-Side status.

HBO signed Ward to a 3 fight deal, giving him 2 fights before the Kov fight. Is that Ward's fault?

Golovkin and his team FULLY understand the risk of a fight with Ward. They understand that Andre is the better fighter while also being the bigger man. The deck would be stacked against them and they would likely lose, possibly having Gennady exposed in the process.
