Trout--was again inactive for stretch and had to drop a bunch of weight.

Kirkland--you see how good he really was. Worst yet, he was out for 18 months and had to drop 55 pounds to make 155

Lara--how good is Lara, he's not a top fight, and many think Canelo lost.

Ah, Mayweather. Canelo lost, and got embarrassed. That was easy work.

The simple Truth is, not a single win Canelo has would beat GGG. Most won't even try. I don't put much stock in Lara's internet rants, he's never truly contacted K2 and asked for a fight. He usually waits until GGG is poised to fight to speak up. That's a far cry from how he went after Canelo. Lara doesn't truly want it, or he wouldn't price himself out.

Not one Canelo win will even try GGG. So Canelo can fight old WW all day, he'll never be better than GGG.

Worst yet, I can think of at least three GGG wins would give Canelo real trouble. Lemiuex would threatened to out his lights, Monroe could really outbox him, and Murray would make it a war of attrition, and possible pull the upset. Hell Geale beat Sergio when he wasn't a drained hurt old man. Murray should have.
Please learn to read. He beat better opposition...period. you're welcome

No it isn't. That is your version as a GGG fan. The journalist you want to cover this can't jut go with that version. They have to take all the facts into consideration, not just the ones that make GGG look good.

It's as if you are suggesting there is this huge conspiracy not to tell the truth about this.

First, as an Eastern European fighter, the fact GGG does this well is amazing. He has no built in fan base. Same with Kov, but GGG is a bigger star anyway.

As for how well Ward/Kov does, it's debatable. Know one really knows.

Maybe, maybe not. Neither of them is big with casuals. But it's a compelling fight. So it will likely do better. It was 150,000 anyways. But that's if Ward gets to winning fights and steadily fights.

Neither Ward nor Kovalev can sell out a stadium by themselves.

GGG can easily. And his ppv was up against two other big sporting events and was deemed a mismatch. Two non-Americans in New York. It had every reason to do min numbers.

With a year build up, you'd think Ward v Kov should be a hit, but I'm not so sure. Neither sell like GGG. Kovalev has to go to other fighters hometowns to sell. And Ward rarely goes anywhere, but still can't sell.

It will draw in some hardcore fans, but casuals likely won't give a ****.

Manny just did 400,000. PPV is down across the board.

Yet GGG v. Canelo will likely at least do 1.5 million if not more.

GGG v. Suanders could pull big numbers in England too.

GGG v. Jacobs may just do 500,000 if promoted correctly.

GGG only needs a named opponent to stop biiiitching out.

"They were more concerned about posturing in the MEDIA"

That is TEAM GGG 1000% Did it to Saunders found out they LIED about the money.

Doing it to Canelo now. To the MEDIA they ACT like they want to make REAL fights! But they REALLY DON'T!!!

All they care about is keeping PROFITS high and COSTS low. Why pay Saunders $4,000,000 when you can pay Dominc Wade $50,000-$100,000.

They KEEP taking STEP A SIDE MONEY at EVERY chance they get instead of putting their foot down. And THEN blame the other guy??? It TAKES TWO!!! One to ASK and one to AGREE!

Why PAY CURRENT P4P #18 Lara $1,000,000 when you can pay P4P #279 Monroe $100,000.

"Ward was angered after Golovkin and his handlers were requesting a catch-weight of 164-pounds, but they were open to going up to the full super middleweight limit of 168 for Carl Froch, Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. and Bernard Hopkins.

After realizing the fight would likely never happen, Ward moved up to 175 and is now has a deal in place to fight WBA/IBF/WBO champion Sergey Kovalev in the fall."

The fight should've happened! If GGG doesn't get Canelo, that will be his second chance to fight a top 10 P4P fighters...WASTED!!!

I respect Canelo ....is that for fighting welterweights , chinny one's at that or is it because GGG had the sense not to fight you as your'e too big ?
Ward knows that at a push GGG can do 154 and maybe not his strongest weight but also not a huge middleweight .Ward is a light heavyweight , is there some kind of mental illness in Hunters gym because they all seem to be in cloud cuckoo land.

The first sentence coWard says is hilarious. Golovking did say 164, but did u even bother to negotiate? Haha a guy who was suing his promoter is mad he couldnt fight a guy he said he needed tuneups for

One does not simply "duck" Golovkin... To move up in weight to fight Kovalev...
