As someone who left a good job for the same reason, I agree. BUT, that's a lot of scratch... Sometimes you stand up for your pride, and sometimes you play ball because it benefits you more in the long run. I'm critical of a lot of Golovkin's career choices but I honestly wouldn't disrespect Genady for either choice here.

As previously reported, IBO/WBA/IBF middleweight champion Gennady 'GGG' Golovkin (34-0, 31KOs) is placing a target on the back of WBC champion Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez (46-1-1, 32KOs) and now he's baiting the Mexican superstar to face him.

... OK, OK... I said it many times here: if he's 154, then vacate the titles at 160... it's consistent with that statement...

Judging by all those wanting title fights, everyone cares. Canelo walks into ring far too heavy to demand CW from another MW.

So Canelo is actually moving up for this fight too! This whole affair is pathetic , in this 'fight' with ole glass jaw I am now just in hope for a double knockout!!

Khan actually says (sometimes) that the real weight for him is light middleweight , so with Canelo being 'really a light middleweight' this fight is no longer unfair.......just a mismatch.

Oscar is such a twat when he says if GGG should give up weight to defend his middleweight crown but in the same breath admits that Canelo walks in as a light heavyweight...sums the whole situation up......PATHETIC!

Oscar go and put the kettle on!

You just sort of hope they know how ****** they sound when they say things like, "Gennady isn't the first guy to try to goad Canelo into a fight" lol. He has a 160 belt. You fight at 160. It would be like Wlad "goading" Stevenson into a fight. This is like Emanuel Steward saying "David Haye can beat a lot of heavyweights, but he can't beat a super heavyweight in Wladimir". GGG is middle not super welter--as is the title. We've become such a PC p**sy culture that we're even protecting the fighters now!
