His best display of ring cutting was vs Floyd, most fights he doesn't do it at all because he's really good at beating guys while being turned, I think it's the same situation when he knocked down Barrera, you don't really expect someone to be able to throw a punch from that angle. This video shows that while he can cut guys off, that built in defense of circling the opponent basically pushes them out of the corners. If he were more flat-footed and used the occasional straight line he'd be more effective. Against Mayweather he wasn't circle as much as he usually does, the gameplan was to cut off Floyd and so that had to be removed.

Mayweather does the same thing on circling the southpaw to the inside, he gives the southpaws the same exit, forcing them out.

Never said that. I said they cant keep them on the ropes. The absolute best ever at both cutting off the ring and keeping fighters on the ropes was Chaves and even he couldn't keep a badly beaten Camacho on the ropes. Camacho simply exited out of which ever angle Chaves left open.
