I we would have got this fight after Kova-Pascal I, I was all for it...but after Kova-Pascal II, theres nothing to prove there...Pascal was removed from his soul...no need to see that again.

Fonfara is the guy for me.

So Ward vs Pascal coming off a brutal 3 fights in Oakland. That is just pathetic, whats wrong with the fight happening in Montreal on the Kova undercard. If I was Pascal I would pass. Let the man get some rest.

Ward is different from Kovalev so maybe there is something there (unlikely), and they did stop the Kovalev fight to save him for another day.

A waste of meager resources but at least it is not something I have seen before even if the fight is unlikely to be competitive.

why can't they both fight in montreal? why would you have the fight in oakland? so less people can see it? that makes no sense.

pascal's clearly shot. that first kovalev beating ruined him. looked terrible against gonzalez and even worse against kovalev 2. i understand why ward-pascal would happen but only if it took place in montreal where pascal is a draw. having it take place in oakland makes no sense and is just ward picking on a shot fighter.

Ward gets decent crowds in Oakland. Now that he is becoming more active again there's nothing wrong with building that fan base back up.

I like this fight as a lead in to Ward vs Kovalev. It would be a great double-header on HBO. I hope this comes to fruition.

well from all reporting his last 2 fights have done terribly as far as people actually showing up. the offiical ticket sales might have "done well" but thats because they are counting third party ticket vendors as sales when the truth is those tickets weren't able to be sold. also they gave away reportedly thousands of free tickets for both fights. this just shows how stubborn ward is. refuses to travel at all even when he's the b-side. refuses to give up anything. refuses to fight unless everything is his way. kovalev is the one guy that doesn't care and will fight him even at a disadvantage so props to him but lets hope he doesn't get screwed like kessler did.

He wasn't fighting for a while so the buzz died down. Now that he's back he can get the crowds to grow again and we can possibly have another homegrown American draw like Terrence Crawford in Omaha.

That's a positive thing for the sport. I don't see why you'd be against that.
