    3) Same with Lacy, he was the betting favourite and most people (boxing fans not just casuals) thought he was going to do JC over. Instead he got the **** beaten out of him for every minute of the fight, was destroyed as a fighter and never the same again. It's easy to say with hindsight that Lacy was never any good.
Lol @ "old enough"... I've been on this forum before that fight was even in the conversation pal. Let alone watching boxing.

Joe never KO'd anybody with a real resume in his entire career. He pummeled them with speed and volume but never stopped a single name fighter that he faced.

I was never on the Lacy hype train. & the B-Hop win was good but it's undeniable that it came near his (extremely delayed) decline... I still maintain that the win over Kessler was his career best. I don't know why people speak on the Jeff Lacy win so much instead of the decision over Kessler.

I don't come on here often enough to know whether or not you're a troll.

I'm going to assume you are though.

Do you really want me to give you an excerpt from Joe's autobiography?

In the real world, statistics don't allow for circumstances.

Otherwise Danny Williams would be considered a better HW than Mike Tyson.

          1. Almost all of Joe's stoppages were TKO's, and many of them were very dubious.

          2. Bernard was a top P4P fighter at the time, and I scored it a draw. It was quality vs quantity.

          3. That's a fair point about hindsight and Joe deserves a lot of credit for that performance. It was by far his best ever. It was a great win. But in my opinion, Lacy was never an elite fighter, and he'd never beaten an elite fighter. If Joe hadn't have beaten him, I'm sure he'd have been exposed soon enough. And I think the reason why he was such a big favourite, was because Joe was still relatively unknown outside of Europe at the time.

Mang all I know is Sir Joe came to teh United States of America and battered Hopkins and Royston.

He fought both of them and beat both of them.

                  Who cares?

He struggled with Bernard, and he fought Roy after he'd repeatedly said he didn't want to fight him because he was shot.

                  It's a joke.

When Roy was fighting Ruiz and Tarver, Joe was fighting Tocker Pudwill, Kabary Salem, Evans Ashira and Mger Mkrtchyan.

He wanted nothing to do with Roy when he was prime.

His win in 2008 shouldn't be celebrated in any way.

Tarver and Johnson had already destroyed Roy over 4 years earlier.

Let's start a thread discussing how Trevor Berbick was a better fighter than Ali.

                    Your post is laughable.
Self important much? I just read through your responses

There are times for trolling I'm sure, but not on threads where people express valid opinions on salient points.

I would recommend a support group, which will allow you to discuss your feelings with real people in an open forum. This should realistically give you the social tools required to actually contribute to a thread or discussion, as opposed to what amounts to attention seeking.

Remember, they are just opinions and pose no real threat to you.

                    Good luck.

Hey Einstein, it's YOU who's arrogantly dismissed people's opinions as well as the circumstances surrounding Joe's actions.

It's YOU who typed 'blah blah'

That's your contribution to this thread.

                      How am I attention seeking?

Let me use what little social skills I possess, to leave you an excerpt from Joe's autobiography:

"I have no interest any more in Roy Jones and no interest in Antonio Tarver. Jones is washed up and Tarver was never that good anyway, he just caught Jones when Jones was shot and Johnson did the same"

                      Great, huh?

Seeing as though it's you, I'll leave you some more comments of Joe's, this time from 1999 when Roy was in his prime:

"I'm not chasing Roy Jones, I don't want tough fights"

                      The stuff of legend.

You keep celebrating his win over Roy. And don't forget those other amazing wins against the likes of Salem, Sobot, Ashira and Mkrtchyan.
