As old as Hop was he still offers something GGG hasn't seen and that's a guy who is crafty and defensive. I haven't seen GGG face anything like that. Kovalev has shown us some serious talent. To me he is a level above GGG and it's interesting to me that he is still not as highly regarded.

Wish I could say the same about GGG.

Just like you said Broner will be Fighter of the Decade, I'm saying Kovalev will be a first ballot Hall of Famer when it's said and done, if not one of the greatest Light Heavies to ever lace em up.

Let's try this again, since you're hard in comprehending

Now, let me break it down for you.

What me and many other people are saying is GGG should seek the big showdown he desperately needs in his career at the age of 34 by pursuing a valid opponent by any means necessary.

Hopkins fought DLH at a catchweight.

Mayweather fought DLH at a catchweight to become the household name he is today.

Canelo fought Mayweather at a catchweight

            Pac with DLH

Many great fighters in the history of boxing have seeked opportunities to become the legends they are today in fights where the catchweight placed them at a disadvantage or the weight gain/loss placed them in a state of vulnerability.

Fans like you, refuse to challenge GGG to seek such opportunities that might possibly place him at a disadvantage to seek honor and glory.

This is fine by me. Because as long as this continues, it's his legacy that will suffer when it's all said and done and we're watching "Boxing Greats" on ESPN.

I'm cool with watching Monroe vs Golovkin on "Boxing's Historic Fights, Night of Legends".

While real legends like Roy Jones Jr, who started at a weight class below GGG's and went all the way up to Heavyweight, has classic fights against James Toney, Virgil Hill, Reggie Johnson, Mike McCallum, etc.... GGG will have legendary fights against Dominic Wade and Curtis Stevens.

While Hagler has legendary fights against Duran, Hearns and Leonard, GGG will have legendary fights against Adama.

While Andre Ward has legendary fights against Froch, Abraham, Kessler and Kovalev, GGG will have legendary fights against Kasim Ouma and Rubio. BTW, Ouma is one of 3 champions GGG has beaten in his entire career. Who will GGG's "Duran, Hearns, Leonard, James Toney, or Mike McCallum" be? Let me guess, Daniel Geale.

Fine by me. I'll continue to let fans like you breast feed this baby and nurture his career right down the toilet.

Now go back and tell me what hypocrite means again as if that's what I was alluding too.

GGG has threads about claiming to be the A side and a PPV draw, yet only draws 150k PPV viewers.

GGG has threads about using the A side as bargaining tool when dealing with Ward, but the A side doesn't apply when talking about GGG vs Canelo.

GGG has threads about clamoring to be ducked by everyone in boxing, but refused to entertain fights with Jacobs and Lara leading up to his fight against Wade....

GGG has threads about claiming to beat everyone from 154-168, that is until he's challenged by guys from 154-168 then it's a different story.

GGG has threads about.... Ah, nevermind, you get the point.
Oh ... so youre not saying GGG ducked Ward and Canelo, not you ... you just post multiple comments like the one I quoted above, talking about how other people are saying those things. Gotcha.

Do you know what the term mealy mouthed hypocrite means?

I'd agree if hopkins wasn't 50. There's gotta be some expiration date. He wasn't even fighting in there. I think the reason ggg is more popular is because he's generally a seek and destroy fighter...while kovalev tends to box more. A skilled boxer with KO power has always been my preferred style to watch...a guy who slowly turns the screw and sets traps for his opponent while still being defensively responsible. I'd say kovalev fits that bill.

Exactly what has Kovalev done to get in the HOF on the first ballot?
