Kov has timing, a great jab and cuts off the ring damn well.. That said

Preaching to the choir...i agree with all that. I'm not a big ward fan by any stretch, but he's a bit more accomplished is all. If kovalev had beaten more than a shell of hopkins, it would be different.

Ward can do all that and more. Kovalev is a great fighter but ward is much more versatile and skilled. Of course kovalev can knock him out dude has ALOT of power but ward is just too good he wont just roll over like the rest of kovalevs opponents and he wont be as easy to hit.

Wish I could say the same about GGG.

GGG and Kovalev have similar records, are equally dominant in their respective divisions, each holds 3 world title belts and is being avoided by a lineal champ and both pass the eye test with flying colours.

GGG gets the same respect as Kovalev from real boxing fans, and rightly so.

GGG and Kovalev are not comparable and I don't think I have to re-explain common knowledge on why they're not. The only thing that's comparable is they're white Eastern Europeans which I'm sure you enjoy a lot.

Take your pick on any boxing forum and look at the majority of threads created about GGG and then look at the majority of threads created about Kovalev.

Kovalev ****s GGG in public opinion and is honored and respected by people from all backgrounds.

You and your buds wish GGG got the respect Kovalev gets.

Either way, haters will hate. But the winner will be pound 4 pound #1 across the board so that's all the vindication necessary.
Just based off my eye test, Ward isn't ready. His rhythm and timing are still off. But Ward says he's ready so forget what I have to say. It's not my fault when he gets KO'd. I'll honor Kovalev because Ward wasn't rushed into the fight and took the fight on his own free will.

That said, like I said in the OP, if he pulls it off and beats Kov, some of you guys better do some major ass kissing because between the Super Six, Rodriguez, Dawson and Kovalev, that's a mighty impressive record for someone under 30 fights.

Kovalev is on route to being a first ballot HOF'er and on track to being one of the best fighters at 175 to ever lace em up, IMO. I got the thread to prove it. Of course Kovalev won't get hate from me. How much more homage can I pay him?

People to whom race is important, like you, always assume that everybody is the same as them.

A few pricks at a boxing forum is not public opinion. Out in the real world, Golovkin actually has a much bigger and faster growing fan base than Kovalev.

Not that that matters to me, I like them both equally.

What are you crying about now?

Ward beat Froch in Oakland? No, he beat Froch in Atlantic City, New Jersey.

Ward's first 20 fights were fought outside Oakland.

                  A few pricks, huh?

You and your boys spend more time on here defending GGG than any other fighter available. Don't worry because the same applies on every other boxing forum known to man.

Kovalev doesn't have that problem and rightfully so.

Kovalev just doesn't have many threads about him. About half are started by some guy from team Aduckis, so you know where they're at. Then you had the purse bid threads, the racism ones, it's not all roses for the guy. Lil Floyd doesn't know his name but can't stop talking about lil G

So Kovalev had a few threads about his beef with Adonis Stevenson and racial epithets said on social media.

Let's see, GGG has threads about his inconsistencies with not fighting Ward at 168, but eagerness to fight Froch, Chavez Jr, Degale, Ramirez, Hopkins, etc.

GGG has threads about being willing to fight Mayweather and Rosado below 160, but no one else below 160.

GGG has threads about claiming to be the A side and a PPV draw, yet only draws 150k PPV viewers.

GGG has threads about using the A side as bargaining tool when dealing with Ward, but the A side doesn't apply when talking about GGG vs Canelo.

GGG has threads about clamoring to be ducked by everyone in boxing, but refused to entertain fights with Jacobs and Lara leading up to his fight against Wade.... Oh yeah, Wade was the mandatory... If GGG had to fight his mandatory, then why is everyone saying he's being ducked? Social media doesn't count, unless it's BJS saying he'll fight GGG on social media, it counts then. But if Lara says it, it doesn't count.

GGG has threads about claiming to beat everyone from 154-168, that is until he's challenged by guys from 154-168 then it's a different story.

GGG has threads about.... Ah, nevermind, you get the point.

GGG and Kovalev aren't comparable. I don't care about the racial epithets said by Kovalev. A beast is a beast. I can't say the same about GGG.
