I never understood the thing where fighters belittle their future opponents. Unless I really detested someone or was trying to psych them out I'd always big them up so that I look better for beating them.

I agree it's a 50/50 fight and I believe Ward damned if do and damned if he don't. If he loses everyone will say I told you he wasn't that good, and if he wins those same people will make excuses why he won. I am a Ward fan but also a realist and know this is 50/50. #MayTheBestManWin

Of course he's going to big Kov up. Why not? It's not being sly, it's being smart and honest.

He SHOULD get credit for beating Kov. I think he also knows how a lot of critics are. They big Kov up, then if Ward beats him, they find a way to downplay the win.

No shot in Ward being the greatest light heavy ever. It's one of the deepest divisions in boxing history. And has a long way to match the run that Michael Spinks went on.
