No he's not, his defense is solid. But his style is very offense-based and he often goes for it which will leave openings for the opponent like in the first Pascal fight.

Ward is a lot faster off the trigger than Pascal and throws with a lot better technique

Ward has a little pop too....no fighter likes to eat punches and his jabs and counters will drop Kov's work rate

Ko'v defenses is solid but he lacks head movement and Ward will pick up on little things he does....he doesnt move his head after he throws a punch, doesnt slip many shots....he blocks or parry's a lot and you're a sitting duck to a counterpuncher waiting on them to finish

Wards no washed up 8 years past prime former champion, thats for sure....and Kov isnt a roided to the gills amatuer champion....he was a decent amatuer though

Ward has never fought anyone as strong or fast as Kovalev. Kovalev is fluid as hell for a power puncher too, everyone has a plan until they feel kovalev's power.

I love Ward and Kovalev, it's a very close fight in kovalev's favor. People seem to ignore that Kovalev is perfectly capable of getting a UD..

I agree. Him and GGG are vying for number 1. And Kovalev is putting his hand up far higher. GGG should have accepted the Ward fight at 168. So what if he lost a boring head-butty decision? No one would have though much less of him.
