      People just make stuff up

Walking around at 170 when not training does not make you a 170 fighter.
This. I find it sorta hilarious some boxing fans are acting like no one in boxing is doing what Conor has been doing cuz Conor did some nutso **** in MMA. Although I'm definitely a proponent of guys fighting at their walking around weight. All this weight cutting bs is dangerous in the fight & can cause fighters health problems outside the ring & later in life.

        Is Canelo known in Dublin?

If so, are people there angry with him for smearing the reputation of the fighting Irish?

Nobody fights on their walk around weight. Or do you expect fighters to be in fighting shape all the time? I can get in tremendous shape but to maintain that I'd surely be overtrained and lose all my hair from the stress. Unless your a juicer you're not staying at peak condition all the time.

I know thats what I'm saying. I think thats a problem. I'd love to see weight cutting be a thing of the past in combat sports. I think its one of the things that make fights more dangerous & is bad for fighters health long term.

You mean draining. Walk around weight is the weight between fights.

Not sure what the difference is between weight cutting & draining. I just know virtually no one is fighting at what they walk around at. Thats the problem. Thats whats unhealthy. I think the fact that its rare that boxers at HW get severely injured or killed in the ring despite everyone being able to punch hard basically is some of the proof that weight loss can have negative impact on ones brain being able to absorb punishment.

Stop. Conor moved up two weight classes and fought Diaz. 25 pounds. In MMA guys are down to fight af any weight. In boxing fights don't get made over 4 pounds. MMA got the real hittas. Jon Jones called out any lhw or HW yesterday after DC got hurt.

Conor is much bigger than Canelo is and I'm a huge Canelo fan. Conor can fight anyone and pull a million buys easy. Aldo pulled a million. Diaz pulled 1.5 million. Other than Canelo-TBE he really hasn't pulled great numbers. I mean Cotto did good at 800K but that's not anything unheard of. 350 and 300 vs. Lara and Perro.

Conor is a much larger draw than Canelo. The numbers prove that.

So basically Canelo is ok with Khan moving up but not Connor?
