The point he's trying to make is you're not criticizing that Sugar Ray Leonard bout which in retrospect is worse, but people don't like bring it up because it's in the past and you're investment in Lil'G can't have no wrong.

Lol...no. What he brought up isn't the same, even though it was an attempt to give an example of someone doing what canelo is doing. Boxing past is full of fighters doing all kinds of ***t up ****, but this i haven't seen before. It has nothing to do with ggg for me. If anything he's taking a stance in favor of canelo cuz he doesn't like ggg.

Canelo at 154-160 would still beat Khan. GBP, did they finish their lawsuit with Nelo's first promoter's? this whole Khan debacle's earnings will help provide settlement issues, which is the main reason why GBP chose Khan. GBP needs to stay a float any way possible, especially if they were to get hit hard with settlement losses. If Canelo were to vacate after Khan that's one thing, if the Canelo still has a belt and Abel still mentions 2017 or 2018 then best believe the fans are being played.

I have no issue with a catchweight fight between champions in 2 different divisions who are meeting in the middle to make a big fight happen. If canelo fought any mw at 160, it shouldn't surprise anyone...he'll just be doing what he's supposed to if he chooses to stay at mw. What canelo is doing is basically acknowledging he can't quite make 154 anymore, so instead of moving up to a more natural weight, he's trying to use his star power as leverage to make opponents fight at the weight he's most comfortable at.
