Show me a fight in which:
    1) Louis looked good
    2) Against a good opponent

Louis' resume looks even worse than Deontay Wilder's...

You guys are funny talking about skills, but as stated about today's boxing, it was nonexistent back then, which means anyBODY or soul of the fighters you say that would whoop the past, would mostly get destroyed since those styles didn't exist. It was brute strength that Corrie Sanders knocked the **** out of Klitshcko and also Vitali for a while. It was the ogre Foreman that knocked the fck out of Moorer late in his career. It was brute strength, a jab, that knocked the **** out of Cooney. You guys can troll all you want, but Big George is an ATG known for sheer power man. Not much skill.

Therefore, Schmeling is a top 5 GOAT, moreso than Louis imo. Louis imo, a prime one, would've beat Marciano. Louis had gone through too many wars.

Max was past his best when he battered Louis.

He was probably shot in the rematch

George Foreman didn't have skills, but he was big, had massive power, a great chin, the heart of a warrior and quality wins against guys like Frazier, Norton and Moorer.

Louis had good power and the heart of a warrior, but he is not big, powerful or solid enough to make up for his lack of skills like Foreman. It looks even worse when considering that he didn't have even one win that wouldn't get blasted to pieces by Deontay Wilder or Anthony Joshua.

When Joe Louis defeated Schmelling, Schmelling had already lost several fights and been knocked out a lot and Max Baer had just lost to a journeyman before losing to Louis...

You had a good rhythm of a conversation until you insist to troll about modern boxers vs older generations. Like saying current militaries would beat early century military. Early century millenia warriors would destroy the modern man by hand or sword.

If what I have said has been taken as trolling, then I'm sorry, as I'm not really into such stuff. I'm here to talk honestly about the sport I love.

I respect Joe Louis and the other ancient legends, but I feel that it's wrong to put them in P4P top 10 lists when their resumes are so lacking and their skills so undeveloped.

But yeah, like you said, it wouldn't be fair to pit the American modern army against a bunch of medieval knights.
