Just like Michael Jordan and the rest of the moderm learned the style from Julius Iriving and he from Russell perhaps.. Abdul Jabar's sky hook was sick..

Anyhow, imo, both skillfully and politically, Schmelling is top 5 GOAT.
Skillfully top 5 GOAT? The skills were so primitive and underdeveloped back then...

Wilder is not very skilled at all, but just to name a few who are more skilled than Louis and Max:
        - Wladimir
        - Fury
        - Ortiz
        - Povetkin
        etc.

You are seriously saying these guys have more skills than Joe Louis? One of the greatest heavyweights of all time and you say Tyson Fury has more skills?

          Never go full ******

How is Joe Louis one of the greatest of all time? He didn't beat any opponents that would go the distance against the guys I mentioned. Watch videos of him boxing, he had neither skill nor size enough to be competive today. Look at his fights against Walcott, it wasn't exactly what you would call skillfully impressive when compared to modern fights like Fury vs. Klitschko.

I know you can't really compare past champions to present day but...
At the end of the day it comes down to your fist in another man's face. it's not like the evolution of the computer...

Yes there are new training method's, men are bigger, nutrition factors etc But i'd say if boxing fan's from the 20's and 30's watched that fury v wlad fight they would say 'wtf is this schit? dancing? Jack dempsey / joe louis would put these guy's in coma's'...

The most important factor is the guy's from way back when trained for 15/20 rounds +.

That's like comparing a big fat foreman from the mid 90's to prime killer foreman...poor example bud.

I like Joe Louis just as much as you do, he's a legend, but let's be honest, man, he would get absolutely clowned against a big, fast and skilled guy like Fury, he would barely be able to touch him. In his last fights against Klitschko, Hammer and Chisora, Fury has shown a very improved defense that I'm pretty confident that Louis wouldn't be able to get through.

You're living in the past, bro. Realistically, he wouldn't have a chance today. Maybe a puncher's chance, if Fury made a mistake.
