GGG is like Floyd or any other boxer considering a move either up or down in weight for a specific opponent. Every fight like that is a one-off and needs to be considered on it's own merits in terms of risk, reward, and what the options are in that fighters own division when the offer is made.

Plenty of fighters have moved up for bigger men, or offered catchweights to smaller, but nobody ever expected them to the same thing, at the same weight, for anybody who asked them to.

no GGG fan can answer that. they just run around the question.
He didn't say he would fight anyone at 168, and you must have that explained to you a hundred times already.

The problem is that to you, thinking like a reasonably intelligent adult = running around the question.

If and when you are ever able to process information at a higher level than that of a 5 year old child, come back and ask me again.

Hopkins & Martinez accepted catchweights in title fights to appease the A-Side

True, but Oscar and Cotto were both SWW, naturally smaller than BHop and Sergio. Sergio lost, of course, but nobody expected BHop to give catchweights to anybody else who asked him, just because he did it for Oscar. And neither of those fights were mandatory defences, like Canelo vs GGG.

Canelo is no smaller than Golovkin. In fact, his 30 day weigh ins and fight night weights all indicate that he is naturally bigger than GGG, but 9 years younger, so able to handle the weight cut and rehydration better.

Also remember, Golovkin has never actually fought anybody at a catchweight. Who is to say he wouldn't have agreed to fight Ward at 168, in return for a better share of the purse, if they'd got down to trying to negotiate that match with Roc, which never happened.

You have Two Ex-Lightweights running it besides GGG.

            1. Ggg
            2. Canelo
            3. Cotto
OK? Doesn't sounds like good options to be honest, he doesn't have a Alternative just as Big or Bigger than the Canelo Fight. Oscar and Canelo knows that so they will either Drain Him or wait until he get old

REALITY CHECK: when GGG said he would fight any one from 154-168 he meant anyone RANKED #154-168 , that's the level of competition he is only willing to make fights with.

CANELO always fights the best and has taken many risks to dare to be great while GGG has done the opposite. Who do we believe based on resume , actions and age , CANELO obviously.

"I WAS BORN READY" , "I WANT TO MAKE HISTORY IN BOXING, AND I KNOW I WILL!".....-CANELO

None of those were mandos, none of those had lineal champs asking for CW, nobody demanded a maximal CW unlike this chump. And of course it was significantly smaller guys demanding the CW. Canelo is creating all kinds of disgraceful precedents

so much for triple g saying he wants to fight everyone.

Yes, except that GGG is a real middleweight fighting at 160.
He's not fighting at a 162 pounds catchweight fantasy for a Super middleweight paper title and avoiding Ward in the very same category.

What Canelo is...? Well I don't really know since they invented with Oscar the Caneloweight Division at 155.

Weighing 155 and having the WBC MW title he should fight the other champ GGG or vacate the belt instead of fighting a blown up 140 pounders, then go back to 154 and rule the division...
Wait, he can't make less than 154 anymore.

With that Joke, Amir Khan could be middleweight champion.
What a fraud of a title fight.

And I just saw Ginger is above Golovkin on boxrec MW ranking.
                    Those guys are killing boxing.

Right now GGG has to clean his own division before moving up.
He needs to beat Canelo, Saunders and Jacobs.

I think only the young Briton might man up.

Put it this way Chad Dawson dropped 7 pounds while he was the LHW champion to challenge the best fighter in the world at the time, GGG won't drop 5 to fight Canelo( a guy who has arguably lost to Floyd, Cotto, Lara and Trout already ) ...So Chad Dawson's nuts> GGG's Nuts..

GGG is protected..34 years old hiding in MW because big scary James Degale might slap the good boy out of him.

No, GGG is just not an idiot like Chad Dawson who killed himself to lose 7 pounds, looked like a mummy and get blown away by Ward punches.
