    a couple points

-There's no way that Golovkin was going to make anywhere near $10m for that fight; Froch-Groves 2 was arguably one of the most anticipated fights in recent British history (and arguably one of the biggest financial fights that Britain's ever seen) and those guys only split ~$16m between the two of them.

-With Ward making the physical commitment to light heavyweight (apparently he's now fighting in the mid 180s on fight noght), Golovkin is SOL, in regards to locking in a meaningful fight. Golovkin's outright flop on PPV seems to have had the same effect in the interest of Canelo's camp to bother with fighting him as well, lol.

I understand the whole money equation factor and I agree that Froch is worth more than Ward,, but they messed up by talking so much trash by saying how he was scared and all that ****.

Just call it like it is from the get go. Froch/Chavez was a better risk/reward than Ward is.

They can't say that because they've built him up by marketing him as the most feared man in boxing.

Sounds to me like GGG wants to face people he knows he can beat. Aka smaller fighters he can bully (Floyd) or fighters he just outclasses due to skill differences (Lemieux).

He doesn't want to face someone his size or larger (Canelo) nor does he want to face someone at or above his skill level (Ward, Eubank Jr., Saunders, Jacobs).

Frankly I don't blame him. Floyd didn't take risks, why should GGG?
Floyd took plenty of risks; he just made sure that they were calculated risks. Taking on Genaro Hernandez in his 18th fight, taking 130lb monster "Chico" Coralles, taking on 135lb king Jose Luis Castillo in his first fight at 135, fighting Carlos Baldomir (a massive 147) at welterweight, simply signing his name to any terms that Oscar could put forward just to get the fight, and fighting Saul Alvarez (a young bull who walked into the ring for their fight near 170lbs) all had their share of risk.

Golovkin's camp isn't entertaining Canelo's offer because, simply put, they seem to know that Golovkin can't get anywhere near 155 and maintain any form of fight fitness (Golovkin's basically been at 160lbs since he was 20 years old, and I doubt that, even with super fitness, still getting down to 160lbs as a 34 year old isn't easy; no different than Ward getting down to 168lbs if needed, though now that's no longer an options).

The Floyd payday would be so large, compared to any other possible payday for Golovkin that (no different than Chad Dawson), that he'd risk his fighting form to cash in. There's a reason why Golovkin's weight always ends up at the same 159.5; that's the system that they've wired his camp for where he can still fight.

I don't think that Golovkin could down to even 157lbs and still fight.

... Oracle Arena seats 21k people, so yeah ... granted, Ward has kept things to only the lower bowl but even that is likely enough space to accomodate 12k-13k people.

So they'd move up to 168 for Froch because the money is good. The money would be better with Saul, but this beyach won't go gown 5 pounds?!

Ward brought up Floyd, because Floyd dissed him for saying that he was rolling with Robert "The Ghost" Guerrero; within weeks of saying that Ward acknowledged how sill the challenge was and moved on.

hilarious to try and see you spin Abel's bull****.

Triple G should be Triple C (chicken, chicken, chicken)

Just wondering........so when Floyd chose fights for the bigger paydays, he was gayweather and chicken Floyd but when GGG and his team avoid Ward....they are wise business men......interesting double standard
