--Why not go up for Ward then come back down for Mayweather?

It will make GGG weak, doe.

--But you were willing to go up for Froch and Chavez Jr then come down for Mayweather.

That's different, doe. It's all about business.

--Why won't you accept Canelo's demands in order to make a big money fight then? That's the richest fight available in all the sport for Golovkin.

    *Abel's head explodes*
I said earlier he's gone full Freddie Roach. The poor guy can't keep his excuses straight anymore.

Maybe so 4 GGG but another thing is getting ward out of CA, he's cemented in there in small arenas...seems he can't draw outside CA..& must like paying this taxes, worse than NYC...

The entire purse for Froch-Groves 2 was ~$14M, and this fraud thinks he would have commanded $10-15M by himself in a fight vs. Froch? More like Froch would have gotten $10M and Golovkin would have settled for $2.5M.

So ... the same reason why Ward wanted to fight Floyd at 160 but wouldn't go to 164 for Golovkin.

His team is not smart if that's their logic. Even if you make 4-5 mil on a ward fight, beating ward would undoubtedly make GGG the #1 P4P king and the new cash cow in boxing. He'd have cotto and Canelo both chasing to fight him instead of the other way around and guaranteed making 10-15 mils per fight. He'd deft get a Mayweather type contract where he's guaranteed x amount each fight by beating ward. His team must know this but denied the fight because they know they can't win. It's not rocket science

You seem to be confusing the purse with the net takings. The Froch Groves fight was way bigger than that. They not only sold out the stadium they sold a ton of PPV and it was a huge fight Oseas. Froch and Groves both benefited from the % of the entire take.

This is true. Froch himself took home 15-16 mils

                  It's pretty easy to understand

Froch is beatable and brings more money, same thing for chavez jr..

Ward brings a lot more risk, and way less lucrative

Carl Froch’s stunning win over George Groves at Wembley in May can now officially be declared the biggest grossing fight on British soil in history.

he wouldnt make 4-5 mil for Ward. and Cotto still wouldnt wsnt any part. after fighting at 168, hes not gonna get below 160, which he needs to for either Cotto or Canelo. so, actuslly its ur logic thats flawed
