The worst recent example of not treating boxing as a business that comes to mind was Danny Garcia turning down a fight vs Mayweather. He went on to fight and beat Lucas Mathysse in a brutal fight that can only be understood when you consider Lucas' bone crunching power. Danny hasn't been the same since and neither has Lucas. Danny was looking like a possible ATG up to that point. I recall Danny's dad saying that they turned down the millions vs Mayweather because they were concerned about Danny's legacy.
