Obviously, there is a big chance Ward would beat Golovkin, probably would lose on points to Ward. Ward is a difficult matchup for Golovkin especially at higher weight. Money would invite the risk, Froch does not have the elusiveness that Ward has. Canelo considering the same, GGG would beat Canelo, GGG will be favored, so there is hesitation in setting fight up.

Why risk milking millions when you can fight lesser opponents? It is simple science.

He's not making that kind of money as the B side.... even in Wembley.

I'm not completely convinced the fight sells out Wembley Arena either.

Well there you have it folks....ward was all risk no reward

We all know it would've been his biggest payday, and best opponent

Team GGG ducked ward for a winnable fight with possibly more $

Deal with GGG d!ckriders....they ducked ward and there is no other way to explain it

I hate the term duck but in this case it applies 100%

Can't be that, because fighting Canelo would surely net him way more money than he's ever made. Yet he refuses Caneloweight for that payday.

Sounds to me like GGG wants to face people he knows he can beat. Aka smaller fighters he can bully (Floyd) or fighters he just outclasses due to skill differences (Lemieux).

He doesn't want to face someone his size or larger (Canelo) nor does he want to face someone at or above his skill level (Ward, Eubank Jr., Saunders, Jacobs).

Frankly I don't blame him. Floyd didn't take risks, why should GGG?

Geez, this guy's logic is all over the place. He has worse circular reasoning than the ten crappiest NSB fan boys combined.

--Why not go up for Ward then come back down for Mayweather?

It will make GGG weak, doe.

--But you were willing to go up for Froch and Chavez Jr then come down for Mayweather.

That's different, doe. It's all about business.

--Why won't you accept Canelo's demands in order to make a big money fight then? That's the richest fight available in all the sport for Golovkin.

                  *Abel's head explodes*

WTF he moved up 5 weight classes , beat more WC and HOFs than any fighter in history and Floyd fought elite fighters in every weight classes giving away weight in 98% of his fights , didnt take risks are you serious lol if you believe that better you take a big look what others have done by comparison !

There is no chance in hell that Golovkin would make 10 million dollars to fight Carl Froch. What a ridiculous thing to say.

Just be honest: Froch is much less of a risk and does bring a bigger crowd. Golovkin would probably lose to Ward, and wouldn't make the money he wants to do so.
