He looked good but a bit more "flat footed" than I remember.
Did Ward Look Great or Terrible?

Yes he was in the pocket when he was clinching in hope that the referee would separate the action up, Ward is talented but not talented on the same level of a Floyd or Pacquiao its blatantly obvious.
Just Imagine If this was GGG struggling with this guy, Imagine what people would say we have to keep things fair If GGG struggles with Wade people are right to comment just like this fight Ward struggled like mad against a guy who pretty much never really had any big named fights at LHW division or in his entire professional career... Pretty embarrassing tbh.Comment

I didnt really see ward struggling except maybe a little in the early rounds. From then on he completely schooled the bigger guy. Barrera didnt do any real damage and wards only cut was from a headbutt.Yes he was in the pocket when he was clinching in hope that the referee would separate the action up, Ward is talented but not talented on the same level of a Floyd or Pacquiao its blatantly obvious.

Barrera was a legit test, but Ward proved he is the best p4p fighter in the world...
People knock him because he has been inactive, but that has no bearing on his skills,,,
The dude is a straight boss....
I still got kovolev finishing him in brutal fashion..Comment

As usual, it was a dull and mundane fight, typical of Ward. He comes from the new mould of boxers who have no intention whatsoever of knocking out or stopping their opponent. And don't give me the usual bull**** about, "Boxing is about hitting and not getting hit..". Ali did that, yet still looked for a KO in every fight, Hearns too. I'm tired of you sheep trying to make boring, timid fighters look like boxing wizards. Did Ward look great? *Puke*Comment

To go for the finish when you don't have to is an attribute to be admired since it's obvious you're trying to please the fans. I have to admire this. I know Golovkin and Kovalev both do this and I believe this definitely adds to their popularity. Golovkin never let up on Martin Murray and finally stopped him. Kovalev against Hopkins? I think he may have let up near the end myself, but I could be wrong. Hopkins is about as crafty as you can get, even at 50. Still, though, who wants to be the one to hurt an old legend? As usual, it was a dull and mundane fight, typical of Ward. He showed flashes of brilliance but overall was very good, just a tad rusty and Barreras jab landed more than it should have. He should have another fight before Kovalev.Comment
