He will need to bring a complete fight to beat Kovalev.
Yeah I wasnt sure if it was due to Barerras late efforts or Ward got a bit tired.

Excellent assessment for a guy with Ward's picture on his posts and I mean that with no sarcasm, really. Nothing worse than a poster with the fighter's picture up and non-stop worshipping him, but your assessment is nice and even. Green to you, sir.

A light skinned, more Canelo kind of Mexican, or more of a Morales kind of Mexican?

He looked good, but the problem is, to beat Kovalev you can't just fight a good fight, you have to be disciplined and focused for 12 rounds. Ward is obviously capable of it, but he's never fought anybody as good or similar style wise to what Kovalev brings to the table while Krusher has.

Overall good performance, but I thought he gassed a little in the championship rounds, but it might have been just me.

It's not any fun to be in the room with worshippers along with the constant bias commentary. You really can't get anywhere. Been there, man.

Definitely in the middle. Didn't look terrible. Didn't look great. I think its fine & expected for his first fight at 175.

I would suggest he's probably better served getting another fight in pre-Kov & trying to look great in that fight. Don't really love that he hasn't really looked great in awhile vs a high level opponent before going into arguably if not clearly his biggest fight.

It will definitely be his toughest fight. May be Kovalev's too. Going to be very interesting. Will be refreshing amongst so many mismatches these days.
