Maybe, but it all depends on fighting styles. Ward relies more on skill and taking away his opponents strengths! Where as GGG and Krusher rely on power to win fights though both have skill, their power is what takes the spirit of their opponents. But what happens win you can't land that power shot or those punches that would usually land. That's my only knock on those fighters. That and their fans.

Maybe you need to read my comment again. I didn't say GGG would have knocked out a LHW, i said he would have knocked out the #23 guy in his division like he did in the last couple years. The knockout just comes naturally if you know how to punch hard and take risks. Sadly Ward doesn't take risks, he doesn't care that much for exciting knockouts or cheering fans.

That's all golovkin fights are guys without strong resumes..so you're right on that one.

When will people like you understand true boxing? The art of hit and not be hit you know? Ward doesn't need to take risks, because he's that good. You want to talk about risks and then bring up golovkin? Remember that he *****ed out of a Ward fight after saying he'd fight at 168....but not Ward...the guy who doesn't take risks lol.

Just sit and wait around for golovkin to fight canelo or another tomato can.

Ward.....one of my favorite fighters but he seemed tired as in not sure how long he wants to keep fighting if you go by his facial expressions but that could be mostly getting back into things. But that right hand was missing and that is a concern. He did not use that hand 20% of what he normally does, if that. But I will pull for him against anyone, Kov included. But he fought great outside of the right hand missing.

Wards always kind of been a one handed fighter he doesnt really like to throw the right often may have something to do with the hand and shoulder injuries but i know hes not too keen on the right hand

It takes more skill to outclass someobe over 12rds than to simply KO them. Guys like GGG and Kovalev are always gonna be more impressive against an overmatched foe than a guy like Ward will. Especially to lower IQ fans because y'all simply look for KOs. The greatness of a guy like Ward, or Floyd, or Rigondeaux is that they make everyone look the same. Donaire looked just like (insert cab driver) against Rigo. P4P guys like Manny and Canelo fared no better against Floyd than lesser guys like Guerrero and Maidana. Ect, etc, etc.

Here we go with the elitist condescension about "true boxing". Do you know how long mofo's been fist fighting, then moved on to cloth wrappings, then padded calf skin, then leather..this nonsense that boxing is a hit and not be hit thing popped up as an explanation to sell the way Cassius fought and people have run with it since then like its the pure form of boxing. It's one form of the sport and nothing more, it's not the pure nature or the original version or the way to do it either. It's just that, a style. If you want to express your dislike of Golovkin that's cool, you are entitled to air out your dislike of the man as you please but please don't sit up here pretending like because you like illusive fighters it makes you some sort of superior boxing fanatic. You aren't any more elite a fan than anyone else on here and you actually insult the sport as a whole when you try to create tiers of "fandom"

Good tune up fight for Ward. Barrera was a big strong guy, but extremely slow, plodding and had bad balance. I didn't give Barrera a round.

I've never understood the "taking risks" nonsense. Its equivalent to blaming a pitcher that's throwing a no-hitter for not throwing balls 70mph down the center of the plate once its clear thst the batters he's facing can't hit his A stuff. Its up to the guy getting his ass kicked to take the risks. If you wanna b1tch at someone, b1tch at Barrera for not going out on his shield because he was tired of being countered. If Barrera had stepped up, like his trainer told him to. And thrown caution to the wind and thrown the kitchen sink at Ward. You probably would have gotten your KO. But he was perfectly content to stand at a safe distance being occasionally pot-shotted on the way to a lopsided loss.
