Good fight for Ward, his legs weren't all there later in the fight which is ok considering he's still conditioning his way back into fighting. Barrera had zero inside fight and paid like zero attention to Abel which was kind of funny.

It's one form of the sport and nothing more, it's not the pure nature or the original version or the way to do it either. It's just that, a style. If you want to express your dislike of Golovkin that's cool, you are entitled to air out your dislike of the man as you please but please don't sit up here pretending like because you like illusive fighters it makes you some sort of superior boxing fanatic. You aren't any more elite a fan than anyone else on here and you actually insult the sport as a whole when you try to create tiers of "fandom"
Why can't it go both ways? Jump down all these muf.uckaz throughts that constantly dawg out more technical fighters. I can't speak for anyone else. But me, I appreciate all styles. I don't even have a preference. A guy can come out windmilling like a 10yr old girl if he wants to. If he beats top guys doing it, more power to him.

ward unleashed the left hook tonight..never seen him use it so often, barrera was frozen because he knew that hook awaited him..and the jab was on point as always, wards jab is like an arrow, and packs power, he snaps your head back and comes from different angles..also liked how he was slipping punches on the inside.. only rust sign i saw was in stamina, which was expected but everything else was on point.

Listen, you and I don't agree on like shhh at all. Yet this we agree on, boxing is boxing. As long as you aren't doping, pulling some shady tactic, actually make your weight without drugs, and don't waste the fans time you are good to go. I'll watch Rigo just as much I will watch Golovkin, just as much as I sit and watch all the free stuff I can get on boxnation when I can find a working ****** on kodi. Boxing is all sizes, all styles. On the topic of jumping down people's throats, I only do so on people who want to come off as elite fans based on a particular style and that seems to be the elusive fighter fanbase that came into boxing circa 2007 and later. Boxing is all styles, ko's or not it's boxing.

But he fought great outside of the right hand missing.
i think he's always been left hand heavy..he's learned that bc that shoulder went away..that adjustment has just stuck with him...but when he did fire that right it was there...but the left hook and jab were open bc of sulivan dropping his hand too much..he'd fix it then he'd screw it up...ward has it all if anything just going through the motions and getting fresher

                Still hating

Ward fought kovalevs mandatory a undefeated Cuban who both he and Sanchez bragged about Cuban pedigree and New Mexican style like I told you all he had was jab right hand

the right hand lines up much better than the jab...but the left hook would be the 2nd best weapon...if we know anything we know ward has won fights with one arm for 10 years justa bout...i dont care if they fix the other one to be better than the left arm...he's still going to use the left more bc he's used to it..and on top of that it is closer to his opponent..he's already fast so that maks the distance even shorter..

No one mentions how Krusher will have to deal with Wards jab, the man has the most ferocious jab in boxing, its a head snapping shot and he throws it like a power shot right through the guard and backs up everyone he fights with it. Not one person he faced stood down his jab without backing up after the first one. You simply cannot walk through it.

The speed difference will be laughable because Kovalev is about as quick as Barrera and has far less movement. He only moves backwards and does not move his head. He is a catch and shoot defender and Wards timing will wreak havoc on him. How will he hit him with counters from a full guard?

He has to physically overpower Ward or he has zero chance to beat him. If he can't hurt him he has to box him and then its no contest.

Some good points, I see it similar......

..... the question is not, can Ward survive Kovalev, like many think..... the question is, can Kovalev live with Ward.

..... and that has always been the case, regardless as to the result in this fight..... Kovalev is completely different, Ward will use a completely different approach.

But I would like to see Ward take at least 1 more fight beforehand.

Ward let jab come countered right with sizzling lefts all night and inside Barrera had nothing so much for pre fight ggg teaching him inside game we saw in training video
