Of concern hopefully just rust Ward had trouble landing right to end fight and Sullivan landed a occasional solid right would never happen before it wasn't speed

Jab was a laser, feints on, inside game on, spacing on, landing right cross has to be perfected and slipping or blocking incoming right has to improve for Kovalev if not will be a problem

But anything can happen in boxing and when a fighter who may not be as skilled is active and on a roll, that can be enough to win. I'm not too sure about Ward's stamina yet but that will improve. I'm pulling for him to win cause I am a true fan of his and cause I'm not really a fan of bloodlust fighters like Kov who seem to take pure joy in badly harming their opponent. A bit of a sadist for my tastes.

        I like that about Kovalev.

Ward is exactly the same to be honest. He takes pride in fk'ing opponents up, especially sparring partners, he is real hard on them.

Nothing wrong with that if you're a fighter.

Kovalev likes to knock people out, I doubt that he wants to cripple anyone..... I think maybe it sounds worse with his english/accent?

Kovalev is great for the sport, I like the bad boys.

I don't know why, Kovalev is great for the sport.

A bit silly I know, but I still desperately want Kovalev/Stevenson, with Ward facing the winner.

Ward/Stevenson would be good as well, but that is only likely to happen IF Ward gets past Kovalev...... and I think Kovalev/Stevenson would be epic.

I favor Kovalev in that fight, and it would setup Ward/Kovalev beautifully.

The knockout just comes naturally if you know how to punch hard and take risks. Sadly Ward doesn't take risks, he doesn't care that much for exciting knockouts or cheering fans.

            Fk you're a whiney ignorant little ****.

ward looked pretty good but there is not doubt he was rusty i expect him to be more accurate for kovalev or whoever he fights next. As good as he looked he just was not sharp there were few shots he threw that u dont expect him to miss and even got caught with few he normally would roll off

Ward needs to get that right hand going. He's always relied too much on the left, but it was really obvious in this fight.

Otherwise he looked solid. I can't imagine how anyone had this close. Barrera won 2 rounds.

" all Sullivan has to do is be a true 175lb'er "

" this is not the Super-6 Andre Ward, this one is easier "

" Ward has been inactive, and has suffered injuries "

                    " we don't think Andre Ward is a legit 175lb'er "

" we are not going to let Andre Ward breathe "

" Ward used to be good "

It's all fun n games til someone loses an eye

                    • For Ward standarts this fight was not as boring and ugly as usual. He schooled Barrera whos a solid opponent and even knocked him down. And at 186 in the ring hes a full fledged light-heavy. Kovalev is another caliber of fighter though. Cant wait for that fight!
