Because Golovkin's crew would not let him get anywhere near Andre and when the contract was faxed, team GGG rejected it in under 1 hour with NO attempt to negotiate whatsoever. No counter-offer, no discussion, NOTHING. Was Ward supposed to pull a Kahn and waste 2 more years begging?? GGG didn't want it so Ward went after bigger fish. No time to waste when you're coming off a 3 year layoff.

He was mandated to fight the winner of Cotto-Canelo. Is he fighting either of those two? He dropped his mandatory. Try to sugar coat it all you want but this is the third time he's dropped his mandatory. Canelo has 15 days....blah blah blah. Where have I heard that before?

He is Canelos mando right now so how could he have dropped it? Why is Canelo embarrassing himself in the press daily? Sorry bud, your argument hit a dead end

I get your point. People like Pascal and Stevenson are considered ahead of him. But I think Kovalev finished off of whatever was left in Pascal. I consider him shot now.

Hopkins? I hope he never fights again.
          What else is there?

And, by the way, I'm not a Ward or Barrera fan, but I could be based on what I see tomorrow.

Stevenson, Beterbiev, Fonfara no brainier. The check the Ring top 10, and you can make an argument for 5 more. There's better looking prospects coming up, and Barrera is barely past the prospect stage

No but I think if he was serious he would fight at least once at 168. I see your point but you can see mine too

If he beats Ward tomorrow, where would you place him?

Sorry, I really can't see your point. He tried to get Golovkin, even said to go ahead with Lemieux because Ward would be willing to wait until after that. GGG didn't want it. There was literally no reason Andre to wait around for GG. Ward could have pulled a Golovkin and hung around a dead division but he sought greatness at 175 instead. Where would he be now if he was fighting more dead weight at 168? GGG still wouldn't take the fight, claiming Canelo is a bigger fight, and people would be ridiculing Ward. So, no, I don't see your point. No disrespect though.

Probably 3, behind Kov and Adonis, depending on manner of imaginary win

He could have done that on BET, but it'd probably be at 172 CW anyway cause he's not sweating down to 168 for 2m
