Ward and the others in the super 6 had the luxury of all facing the top guys as part of the tourney. With exception of Shelby Pudwill. This is how boxing divisions should be decided but non tourney fights and diva types make it more difficult for many fighters in general. Bravo to Ward if he beats Barerra and fights Kovalev.

It's documented that, last Summer/fall, Ward told Genady that he could fight Lemieux and Ward would be ready to face him after that. In fact, all the facts of the situation make it obvious that Genady bytched out after puffing his chest out. He thought he could build his rep by calling out Ward. But, he wasn't willing to actually fight him.

50-50 in 2016 after an interim bout. That meant GGG accepting 50-50 after beating Canelo(if that were to be the interim bout) or put him out of the Canelo sweep stakes(if the interim bout wasn't that).....give me a break.....the ironic maybe in 2017 response tells you what Golovkin's team was thinking about the offer. Both sides were just puffing theirr chests, but you can't be objective.

Wha? You clearly didn't understand what I said. This had nothing to do with Canelo, nor was there even much discussion of that yet. You're clutching onto a hard bias and throwing the word "objective" around as a means of hiding it. It's pretty transparent.

Last time i checked, GGG has been the mandatory for the WBC belt since october 2014...every move in his career since he signed for that fight has to do with Canelo...either you're ignorant or intentionally overlooking everything like a good fanboy.....you're the one that's transparent. GGG is an idiot for running his mouth....Ward is an idiot for "calling his bluff" with a bluff of his own.

Im glad he moved up. I really wanted Ward vs GGG because that would be a great if he could beat both GGG and Kovalev.

At least were getting a better fight lined up though.
