It's the cleanest path for a young fighter to get a title shot. Because they enforce their mandatories.

Once your established it becomes pretty irrelevant though because the best fights available aren't your mandos.

      The IBF is not corrupt.

The IBF's rankings are an accurate reflection of the best fighters willing to fight for the IBF.

Top fighters prefer to not fight for the IBF because the IBF is not corrupt.

You forgot to throw "just kidding" at the end of this statement or D+ trolling.

The fighters will never do that. They want that belt.

Looking at an organisation such as the WBA, with their myriad of champions in every division and then their heavyweight rankings...I prefer the IBF. Browne is actually ranked above Wlad Klitschko lol

The biggest problem with the ibf is that they follow and enforce their rules which scares off potential high level fighters. Remember they tried to get bradley/khan/porter eliminator for brooks belt

Because they don't break the rules to help top fighters, top fighters prefer to fight for other organizations instead.

The IBF ranks the best fighters that are interested in fighting for the IBF.

The IBF rankings are honest and fair. The problem is that top fighters aren't going to be interested in honest and fair when they can fight for other organizations that are willing to bend the rules for them.

Fans should just stop recognizing the IBF & WBO as "world" titles. They were created in the 1980s out of thin air and have no claim to the lineage of the sport.

The historical world championships, with a hundred year history (IBU, NYSAC, NBA & NSC) are represented by the WBC & WBA.

Fans and media should have never allowed promoters to cram the IBF & WBO down their throat. Two world titles was already too much as it was.
                  Great, great post.

Unfortunately, it's a sign of the landscape of boxing right now - that the one organization that isn't completely bent and corrupt (they all are, but at least the IBF follows its on rules..), is the one that gets complained about the most.

I agree with this wholeheartedly. The premise of fighting mandatories is awesome, but their ranking system seems to have a lot of corruption attached to it

                      I agree with this.

The IBF is the only one that is completely transparent with it's rules. Everyone knows where they stand at all times, they don't change or bend for anybody.

The rest of the organizations won't hesitate to skip over a mandatory if another fight makes more money. Nor will they hesitate to "accidentally" drop someone from the top 10 rankings. Nor do they have a problem with creating super champions, interim champions, and champions in recess so that fighters of certain promoters can zoom up the rankings.
