Not trying to stereotype all cubans but I havent seen 1 yet that can pressure for 12 full rds hell I dont think I have ever seen 1 do it for 6 besides you dont beat a guy like Ward with pressure and volume, you have to beat him from the outside in, you also have to have speed to match. Either way this dude has no chance against Ward. Ward by TKO6 if this guy tries to turn into a pressure fighter, UD if this guy realizes hes no pressure fighter and tries to box and survive.

Andre finds a way to invert a guy's game and I think Barrera will tire quickly if he goes to smother the guy with the trickiest inside game in the biz.

To me, Sullivan needs to keep space and create an economy in his punches. The only way he's winning is hurting Ward and a big, muscular guy like Barrera needs to be fresh in order to keep his shots fast and strong. That would be my concern for Andre, is if Barrera is still fresh in round 7 or 8 and is able to rain hard shots on a fighter who hasn't been active.
Barrera's reflexes seem too slow to compete with Ward from the outside, I see him getting beat to the punch all night and wiffing air. If Barrera really is the bigger stronger man, coupled with Ward's long period of inactivity, and moving up weight carrying more mass, Barrera could wear Andre out late in the fight. Barrera's never really shown to be a pro-typical Cuban boxer, he was basically walking down guys like Murat and Lacy.

sigh. the same mindest reers its ugly head again. people think guys like floyd and ward will score ko's if they are facing guys that pressure him when in reality all they do is clinch.

                    That's a great point !

I hope you're right, I want to see this go the full 12.

A short, or easy, fight..... will not help Ward.

Ward will be much better off being truly tested, I don't care what the haters say. If Barrera does better than expected, Ward will get bashed, but I am fine with that..... because Kovalev is completely different to Barrera.

Ward could be under-done and squeak past Barrera, but then be right on point by the time Kovalev rolls around.

I hope Barrera really puts it on him, I'm just not sure about Sanchez' game-plan. Sanchez should be giving no thought at all to what Ward will not/cannot do..... he should be preparing Barrera for EVERYTHING, not hoping that Ward is old and faded.

If you were Barrera..... you would most likely realize what you are up against, and would be training REAL HARD, not talking rubbish on the internet.

Cheating, is even worse than Dirty Sanchez' " hoping " game-plan.
