Let's go back to primary facts;

1st) Kovalev signed his deal with HBO (AFTER) Stevenson signed a better offer with Showtime, I didn’t say before, I said After. Initially Stevenson nor Kovalev were linked to any contract with HBO. Means, team Kovalev were also free to negotiate between Showtime & HBO.

2nd) Kovalev re-signed another contract with HBO, 2 months (AFTER) his victory over Jean Pascal, precisely 1 month after the 1st WBC purse bid that team Kovalev eventually turn down.
And now this; an avoided face to face, which clearly show how team Kovalev were bluffing all along about wanting to fight Stevenson.

I contend this is a fight no one gives enough of a f#ck about to make. The fighters aren't getting paid enough. HBO, Showtime or whoever isn't willing to pay enough. The fans don't even wanna see it enough. Its an interesting fight, but its not interesting enough to make. And it probably won't be even if it'll seem odd that he never happens that the top 2 guys in a division for several years didn't ever fight. Than again it seems to happen in this perverted 4 champion era where its hard to handle all the situations you have to deal with in your career + make all the fights despite obstacles & money issues.

It does seem like the fighters are both making drama, inventing or legit, to try to build things up, but again the main obstacle is no one gives enough of a f#ck about this fight. I suspect & have been suggesting if it happens it'll happen after Kovalev vs Ward & I contend since they've been talking about Kovalev vs Ward there was no reason to make Stevenson following the one big fight at a time method most promoters/networks follow.

Eff, you like Kovalev much, and that's okay. But saying they both making whatever, isn't quite exact. Stevenson wants Kovalev, but Kovalev doesn't want Stevenson. Why Kovalev would put 3 titles at high risk, when a majority of fans are already favoring him over one of most brutal power puncher in the division. Dumb fans are making the job easy for him to not fight Stevenson. Every now and then, he talks ish about Stevenson to recycle the myth of Stevenson avoiding.
That's what happen when none of them wants to see Kovalev KO'd by angry Stevenson.

Are you serious, Yvon Michel is just a clever man, and Duva is the only witch from this boxing industry. This is how you must deal with this thing; Like any other girls, you must make her happy, (compliment her work & stuff). Otherwise, she's always 2 steps away to react like she's still in her period week, due to her inferiority syndrom; Strong feminist.
