Although i will say the weight and money was a valid reason for the fight not happening.

We gotta look at it from GGGs perspective, hes a MW and if hes to give up weight and size against a 168lber they wanna be compensated....especially against a fighter as talented as Ward who wouldve most likely beat GGG. This posters lookn at Wards catchwt fight all wrong, it wasnt 172 bcuz Ward could not make 168, it was to acclimate him to the bigger wt of 175. Its all perception.

That doesnt mean GGG is not being avoided himself..bcyz he is. If we be completely objective and keep our fanship of certain fighters aside, GGG is being swerved in his own wt class. Cotto ducked him HARD, biggest duck lately in the sport and all the Cotto fans just hid behind. Ward for some reason Lol...theres no reason GGG should not get a shot at that WBC strap but he shouldnt have been taking ducking fees either.

Actually, I don't blame GGG for not fighting Ward. But GGG's massive following of nuthuggers make it difficult to support him 100%.
But I get it, the middleweight division is a lot more prestigious than 168 and Canelo is the biggest fight for GGG right now. GGG has been WBC mando since Sergio had the title so I agree his WBC shot is well overdue and the only top 10 MW who’s shown SOME interest is Eubank. But he can’t hide behind that excuse forever, he’s in his mid 30’s and if he can’t land a fight at 60 then it might not be a bad idea to consider other options. GGG vs Sturm or Abraham would do well in Germany. It’s the same way I feel about Rigo. Frampton still shows no interest so it may be time to start going after some of these guys at 26.

And that fight is obviously a 50/50 split.

It is absurd to consider Mr 97k as popular enough to start dictating terms.

A real "A-side" sure..... but Hypekin is not an A-side, or even a top draw.

Why make excuses for Hypekin ?
Dude i know what ur getn...against the names you mention, GGG has good shot at any of them in terms of competition and victory. Against Ward, GGG chances at victory would be slim....bcuz of Wards obvious talent. Do u not undrrstand what im saying? Ward would most likely beat GGG so they wanted to be compensated bcuz so.

That's EXACTLY what happened. Ward answered GGG's call and GGG knew he stood a MUCH better chance at 164. I can't hate the guy for that either.

I actually like GGG and think he's a very humble guy. But I can't STAND his never STFU trainer. His CHEAP @ss promotors. And last MOST of his Rtards fans!!!

Those QUACKS make PacT@RDS look classy and normal.

I feel like that's the obligatory statement for anyone moving up or down in weight.

A few things that GGG's people did that made me thing WTF!!!

                  1. ADDING a $1,000,000 per/lb penalty to the Chavez AFTER they agreed upon the fight. You do that BEFORE you do a deal NOT after.

                  2. Say willing fight ANYONE and BEAT them. He said that on video a few times between 154-168.

                  3. Saying willing go down in weight for ONLY a BIG FIGHT. Canelo @155 is a HUGE fight BUT the fight needs to be at least 157 to be fair.

                  4. When Lara said he fight GGG and his team said Monroe was a bigger name then Lara...We all know that BS. Lara is a top #20 P4Pounder. Monroe isn't even in the top 100.

He just fought at 172 pounds

So 3 pounds makes that much of a difference, so now we know why he either drains or tries to outweight all of his opponents...

I hope he is, the Barrera guy is a good sized LHW. Ward does not need a lot of power due to his style, but he does need physical strength, which I think Ward has always had a lot of at 168.
