Ready for Cotto to just retire at this point. They have come up with 3 names and all of them are a joke. This is ridiculous at this point.

I think it's a ****** fight. No money in it and you never know which Kirkland will show up. He could catch Cotto and hurt him. And Cotto gets no credit for winning, IMO.

I don't mind this fight if it's not ppv. He's coming off a loss and wants a easy rebound fight ok. But hard to convince fans who just saw Canelo destroy Kirkland in a NON PPV fight to pay for this. At least Kirkland was riding a 4 year win streak with big wins over angulo and tapia before the canelo fight. If it's ppv rather see him fight marquez, vargas or one of the bigger names at 147/154.

Why are people against this fight? Cotto is on his way out so let him fight whoever he wants. I mean hes coming off a loss against a younger bigger guy for christ sake. Its just hard to see how the build this fight up

im sorry but canelo brought him from the dead to beat up and now cotto is doing the same thing but cotto might be too small
don't get me wrong, Andrade and charlo are entertaining to some degree for us(hardcore fans) but for the casuals a brawler like kirk is more entertaining..

Kirkland needs to get back in the game and not take a dangerous fight like this. It should be easy work for Cotto, stylistically. But, where does it put him? It's not a money fight. It's not like he needs wins to get back into a money fight.
Offer Golovkin a non-title fight at 155. See if Eubank will come down if you go to the UK. See if Bradley is willing to move up temporarily. Do something to cash out before you go. He'll need 3 Kirkland-level fights to make the same money as one decent-name fight.

If he's going to garbage fire route, I'd much rather see him pummel Margarito than Kirkland.

Trying to end that 3 fight contract on the cheap opponent route...wow! Kirkland better have negotiated well for himself in this one. A Trout rematch would've been sold easier.

Something about Kirkland, he looks a lot bigger than he is, a lot like Juan Urango.
