Boxing is ****ed. Why would anyone who hasn't been following for years already even bother with it? To watch a bunch of risk-averse, entitled, soft p*ssies argue about who's the A-side and make excuses why they can't face the best competition even in their own weight class? To see blatantly corrupt organisations like the WBA hand out three belts per division?

There is no way of explaining the colossal, incompetent ****-up that is professional boxing to a casual/non-follower without feeling a heavy dose of shame and guilt.

The heavyweight division does seem like it's heating up I will you give you that. .
Not sure that one is actually happening yet but if it does im excitedfor it.

But Spence v Algieri has got me excited. See if hes ready for next level or has Algeria been let out the cage by JDJ.

And yes i was rooting for Fury cause i wanted it shaken up and it got shook. HW gaining momentum

You are on the right TRACK! Too many and ever expanding GOVERANCE waistline IS the PROBLEM. "WBA"? Maybe they are playing with mirrors ever considered it(?)
I started a work back in March/2007 to "echelon" the WHOLE-OF-THE-SPORT. UWBCAFO-I. "Basically" the FIRST &major four (WBC WBA IBF WBO) are the '1e'. "Keep marching" & we act as advocation. We support THEM. Everything else is a'2e' and has approx FIVE USA States value. We pull a trick with the 'C' div also I can bring that. Echelons >don't mix< [Golovikin mixing like a "jinx"].
Boxing dieing? Boxing IS "thinning" and a quick study of the 'H' div. will display that FACT PRETTY GOOD!
Right now I see the IBO as Boxing "worst enemy". IF some people are interested I can point out some streams at the BoxRec forum and EXACT WORDING of one 15 years CEO at IBO and......what guy is saying is only "******/bring sport low" kind of reasoning. SO OBVIOUS! (Lennox)
No one will be able to effectively "argue" with me on ADMIN because, my argument it is precise. And the "truth".
The world media right now ignores Boxing. Why? Why because we have shot our own selves!
My top-5 mega stars now (no order) are Ward, "Krusher", Saul Alvarez, Gennady* (*IBO "problem") & Manny yet & still there [Nike sucks! I will never buy any "Nike products" now Not Possible! : )]

You can thank Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquaio for their phony a$$ fight and Al Haymon for crappy fights and being the Duck Fighter Promotions. Than you have a Heavyweight Champ still fighting tune up fighters thats got to be a phucken joke

I think everyone around here has been too negative lately; we may not have had hallmark cards last weekend, but there were at least two damn fine fights (Douglas being upset by that european dude and Paez vs Margarito, which turned into a hell of a fight).

Idk if Lucas & Rigo are moving the needle that much against boxing, but for sure boxing is gonna be the #2 combat sport in our lifetimes. The older combat sport fans are boxing fans largely, the younger combat sport fans are MMA fans largely. There is probably a number of old people deaths that = MMA being the #1 combat sport lol.

Boxing needs to work on capturing the younger combat sports fans attention. They seem to do little to bring in any new fans doe is the biggest problem boxing has moving into the future.

I've actually tried this, cuz ultimately boxing is my favorite sport & besides MMA is the only sport I give a f#ck about on a daily basis, & its hard work lmfao. You sound like a ****** trying to explain boxings structure & how it all works in a meaningful way to a non-boxing fan.

I got faith boxing will regain some of the traction its lost in the sports world once they put forth a centralized power structure in the sport that isn't corrupt & is looking out for boxing & not just their own bank account. Gonna take a minute for that to happen & the change to go down is the only problem.

As a boxing fan.. Boxing is kinda ehh right now honestly

We're at a lowpoint right now ever since Thurman/Porter got cancelled. Quigg/Frampton or Garcia/Guerrero are basically the biggest fights boxing has had this year.

UFC already has some big fights planned this year, so they're definately doing better so far.

No sport that almost made a billion in one event is gonna die that's just ******.
But it is in a bad spot right now it's been getting increasingly dull since 2010 at least for me. It seriously needs to be restructured. This build a fighter with bums and then make everything a ppv is crap. these promoters should join together and put boxing under one brand like ufc.

                      .
I doubt there can a one centralized power structure in boxing that wont be corrupt. The ones in charge have been and are always in it for the money and money always has a way of corrupting people. And when the ones in charge are backing certain fighters because they bringing in more money than other fighters, its hard not to corrupt things to make sure the cash cows are always winning.

It has been going on forever in boxing and now that boxing is at a low point, the ones in charge are protecting their best fighters and cash cows at all cost even more that's why we are constantly seeing mismatches.

So IMO having a one centralized power would just make things so much more corrupt than it already is.
