Genetically he is asian. Russians are decendants of Mongols
his homeland is in central asia and The Kazakhs are descendants of the Turkic and medieval Mongol tribes
there are people i know who got their dna analyzed and shockingly they were the opposite of what you may consider based off looks
I have a friend that got his dna done on ancestry.com...He looks like what you'd consider white.....brown hair, fair skin, green eyes, and freckles. His mom is a red head, met his entire immediate family. Never met his dads side
He showed me his results and he was 58% sub-Saharan african and only 30 % white and the rest was native american
Looks dont always translate into race man. its 2016.....open your eyes manComment

not as bad as i do for you. You are trying to convince people an asian is not an asian. His mother is korean, his dad russian who are descendants of turks and mongols.
its not that complex....asia is a continent where he is a resident and he was born there. He is asian. deal with itComment

Man. I want to cry reading this. I study demography and human migrations formally/professionally. The things you're typing... Please stop before I faint.Genetically he is asian. Russians are decendants of Mongols

there in lies the problem. The same people who say " oh he is black, he hates GGG" are the same ones who'll say " Race isnt why I dont like Mayweather" The comments on youtube and facebook he has recieved are some of the most hateful, racially charged stuff Ive ever seen. Imagine if he was a civil rights leader lol.Well, at least they have the Europeans to pick from. I mean, they don't relate to them in any way shape or form other than skin color. I still think more white Americans should give boxing a try. They can't all be bad.
I mean, it's not a good look when your only hope is a Korean man who is being passed off as white. Golovkin wouldn't appreciate that. They should appreciate him because of his skill, not his appearance.
If thats the case, why are people trying to convince others of GGG's ethnicity if race didnt matter. I dont even remember how to topic arose in this forum.
The topic coming up, sheds light on some things people wont admit. People support their own or will claim one or some as their own.
Their arent any great white american boxers. Most of the casual fans I know that are white, are knockout, rock em sock em robot crazy
thats cool, who doesnt like knockouts. But Casual fans, and people who arent very knowledgable on race, ethnicity, or his back ground just see a white guy knocking everyone out and they take pride in that. Its ok to be a fan of a fighter who isnt the same race as you.
GGG is Central Asian and Korean=Asian
I dont see anyone calling Andre Ward white and he has a white father...oh yea he is a "slick" fighter...Comment

I've decided you're correct. Sergey Kovalev is racially mongoloid because part of Russia is on the Asian continent. Kudos.
Similarly since I live in California, I am a Chumash.
You should really consider publishing your findings.Comment

so i guess you forgot the part that his mom is korean, ethnically and nationality-wise...he is asian ethnically and nationallyComment
