Well... the Kovalev-Pascal 2 card averaged less than 940k so he won't bring up the average that's for sure.

Didn't Garcia-Guererro do 3 million viewers average? Almost 3.5X the HBO average

Dude you posting all this crap about HBO which saw Ortiz do BETTER ratings then his Jennings fight last year and about avg ratings for Boxing After Dark cards on HBO and slightly lower ratings then their World Championship Boxing
cards. Yet Showtime just did around 200k which is about 1/4th the ratings they were doing just over a year ago. Bro don't worry about HBO worry about Showtime that's the real disturbing trend where they have lost well over 50% of the viewers. But I'm sure we won't see any posts about them because you nothing but a Haymon suck up.

If NBC reaches 200 million homes, and takes in an average of 3 million viewers, that's about 1.5% of their total viewers.

If HBO is in 32 million subscribed homes and does an average of 1 million viewers, that's about 3.1% of their total viewers.

You also need to take into consideration purses paid, promotional costs, production costs, etc. I would say the paid for network is probably budgeting better than the former when all things are considered.

The PBC FOX card did a 2.2 rating which is pretty terrible for network tv and made FOX finish dead last in the prime time ratings to CBS, ABC, CBS which are it's competitors NOT HBO. FOX is not trying to beat HBO ratings which is a totally different platform. They are trying to compete with the broadcast networks which is dependent on trying lure advertisers. Which they have not been able to do because the ratings suck. According to LA Times.

Al Haymon, the reclusive manager of boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr., has aggressively been buying TV time to telecast fight cards as part of a daring strategy to revive the sport by tapping into a new, younger audience.

"For last month's Garcia-Guerrero fight in Los Angeles, the fight card's purse totaled $3.2 million, versus only $508,620 in live-gate ticket sales.

Television advertising tracking firm Kantar Media said Premier collected $12.5 million in total ad revenue from 27 fight telecasts from March through September, an average of $462,963 per show

Still, the advertising revenue for the boxing shows is paltry considering the costs, such as Premier's $20-million NBC deal. The ad money also appears to fall short for even lesser time-buy arrangements, like the five CBS Saturday afternoon boxing telecasts in 2015 that cost Premier around $300,000 per hour, according to industry officials."

Advertisers want big numbers... NBC provides big numbers.

And HBO can give two ****s about advertisers. They want subscribers, which they are getting.

Exactly... and based on the increased subscribers and viewership for their original series they are doing very well.

Very little reason to keep showing boxing with horrible viewership numbers per price point

No they don't. Literally EVERY PBC card on NBC dropped in ratings worst then the previous one. And the advertisement dollars are tied to ratings performance. LA Times reported the figures they are collecting and poor ratings is the biggest reason why PBC is going broke and getting little money from advertisers. Why do you think they can't even afford to air fights on PBC lately? This weekend's show on Showtime WHICH BOMBED by the way would of been on PBC but suddenly all the PBC cards are either being shipped to Showtime or getting canceled. PBC went from telling ESPN that the next PBC card would be in Jan to pushing it back to March to April to now no PBC cards on ESPN until at least June. How many months until they announced a SPIKE card? NBC hasn't had a fight since what Nov/Dec and won't have the next one until mid April and NOTHING planned on the calendar as of today for NBC after April. But according to you PBC is getting big numbers? hahahaha

But it's not horrible viewer numbers. At the end of the fiscal year, HBO Boxing is still in the black. It's a niche market and will always be around to cater to the boxing fans. HBO will not dump the series unless boxing ceases to exist in the US.
