No idea how, or why, you could make that assertion.

    The opposite is true.
He had to drag Khan up from welterweight to get a decent name to fight, that's all it is, a decent name to try to sell, its not a proper fight for the middleweight champion. Canelo's biggest fight is with GGG and I don't see how you could even debate that, sure he can fight easier fights and still make money, fighters always do but his true mega fight is with GGG.

Unfortunately geography plays a role here. Pacquaio had the Philipines and Canelo has Mexico. GGG is from Kazakstan and there isn't a boxing culture there. If Canelo chooses not to fight GGG, it's gonna take away from both of their legacies.

People on here act like GGG will be the only one hurt if Canelo vacates. But who will he fight? no one at middleweight or JMW is interesting for a fight.

GGG just needs a little more trash talking and then it's all good. He needs the media to start broadcasting him like they do with Connor and did with Ronda.

Canelo is a ***** but it serves GGG right for ducking Ward, should've fought him at 168. Now he has no other big money fight.

If he had been unwilling to negotiate with Trinidad and Hoya, like Golovkin is unwilling to negotiate with Canelo..... then he would likely be where Golovkin is at right now..... kicking rocks.

I'm not certain if Hopkins was the mandatory challenger to Trinidad or Hoya? Golovkin has waited his time and been patient. Now is his time to put his foot down as mandatory challenger and expect nothing more than any other mandatory challenger would expect. Unless you support bully tactics, then shouldn't it be on even playing field apart from purse split? Thats why they split the division from 8 weight classes, so this sort of nonesense wouldn't happen. Its like alvarez thinks boxing was invented yesterday and make up the rules as he goes. No... respect the sport, the rules, the weight divisions and the champions of the past century.

            And, Dominic Wade is ?

And don't bother " reminding " me that he is the IBF mando.

Wade is a very poor opponent, no matter how you try to spin it.

Canelo's poor opponent is known, and a big payday..... Golovkin's, is not.

Bull****, I don't believe that for 1 second.

Khan is much bigger than Golovkin, both as a name, and as a payday.

The red kid should drop the belt.

The lonely kid should have backed up his ****-talk and fought Ward.

You sound upset, Wade might not be a mega fight, I never said it was, in fact I never even mentioned Wade. You might not want to hear Wade is a mandatory but the fact is that he is a mandatory defense so I don't see the problem. If GGG refused to fight Canelo and unify and instead fought Wade id have an issue with it. The only issue I have with GGG in this whole circus is that he didn't force the Canelo fight instead of letting **** drag on negotiating with Canelo and the WBC.

Canelo on the other hand is fighting a welterweight with a name in order to help sell the fight. Of course he's going to get a big payday from it but its not a mega fight ,its two fighters with names that are technically two divisions apart and its looked at as a mismatch by most people. I think GGG is a much bigger fight for Canelo and you think Khan is, we can argue about that all day but I guess we'll have to wait and see if the GGG fight happens to find out for sure.

No, you didn't..... you conveniently bashed Canelo's opponent selection..... but did not mention 1 damn thing about Golovkin's

                    For example.....

The bottom line, in your point about Khan, is that the fight is a mismatch.

And you think Golovkin/Wade will not be ?

At least Canelo will be well-paid for his mismatch.
