He'll get his payday's eventually..same ishh that happened with Martinez, happened at the tailend but it happened. Without Canelo's he's a lineal champion with a friendly face and no scandals to turn off sponsors. Golovkin as lineal makes crazy endorsement money..even without Canelo. There's levels to this here business.

Endorsement money plays out strangely. Hasn't Sharapova been the top earning sports woman for 8 tears in a row. Serena is a far better tennis player but doesn't get anywhere close. That has a racist look to it.

Still, it is what it is. Golovkin as unified would probably make equal money from sponsorships as from fighting - Sharapova makes 70% of her income from sponsorships. Of course now it has all fallen apart for Maria but point is that Golovkin could make $5 million a year for next 3/4 years if he can unify. He doesn't need Canelo as much as people think he does - not for the money anyway.

he's been under the protection umbrella ever since the beginning with both WBC and now gbp, who screwed All Star Boxing... he beat Cotto yes but I believe when I saw tv & videos of Laura & Trout both of those guys beat this fraud...

And who has GGG beat? And trout won the fight after he got dropped on his @ss and said he lost in his ring interview after the decision? And Lara ran for his life all night and embarrassed himself. And still all this is more impressive then GGG beating C and D class cab drivers. That's called protection. Canelo has fought like 10 world champs, multiple HOFers, multiple fighters who were top 10 p4p at the time they stepped in the ring with canelo. GGG has not faced even half the amount of world champs and ZERO HOFers and ZERO top 10 p4p. Canelo has by far the better resume, faced and beat tougher fighters and he's only 25 while GGG ain't fought nobody and is almost a decade older. But Canelo has been protected? Get the F out of here.

Most people aren't in the know with regards to the rumours, speculation and promotor bull****, so experts/commentators go from his perforamance against whoever is in front of him. Martin Murray only stoppage is from Golovkin. David Lemiux (another world champ) didn't win a single round before being stopped in the 8th. Geale beat slyvester and sturm (both in Germany) so obviously could fight.

Alvarez struggled in two of his Fights. If he had won them convinvingly, there would be a lot more hype around him.

Floyd is great boxer and best pound for pound. His amateur record is 81-6, Golovkins is 345-5. Floyd got bronze, Golovkin got silver. Floyd done a lot more in his career as pro as he's had a lot more time.. Everyone has their own destiy.

Do you know how old Hopkins was when he unified with Trinidad? 36 years old.

If Canelo avoids GGG any longer he's the one that will end up looking like a fool in the end, it will be a serious hit to his reputation and who's he going to fight that's as big as a GGG fight for him? The answer is nobody, he can pick and choose from guys at 154 getting them to come up to his division but there's not a single fight there that would be the mega fight a GGG fight would be.

Everybody screaming GGG needs Canelo but Canelo needs GGG just as bad if he wants the biggest fight available to him right now, otherwise he looks like a guy looking for the easiest fights and avoiding the best challengers. I used to have a lot of respect for Canelo.

Canelo is on top of the boxing world right now, and he is about to collect another mega-payday from the Khan fight..... and yes, that fight will sell great.

Aside from Canelo's normal HUGE purse, this will be his 3rd mega-payday.

The Williams sisters get money on everything from the tennis racket they use to the kicks on their feet. Serena messed up her clothing sponsorship by trying to launch her own and it didn't work out. Sponsors don't care about race they care about the image you portray, hence Pacquaio getting spanked by NIKE over his comments, Floyd not having any sponsors, and the list goes on. Canelo and Chavez Jr have deals outside of boxing with the networks to get access to them. There are tons of sponsor dollars out there just have to have a team find the fit for you if you have enough eyes on you to warrant it.
