Wilder will need to improve his 'inverted' game a lot if he wana beat this guy convincingly.

Had Ortiz had the same skill and everything, and instead been an orthodox stance fighter, then it would be just another easy day for Wilder. However, that is not the case.
Yea, I think Szpitlka went for broke by rushing in and it really worked... until it didn't. Povetkin is one of the few heavies that can bum rush with a degree of success which why I think he's the biggest danger to Wilder.
I haven't seen Ortiz face real adversity so I'm reluctant to speculate how he'll cope with the power coming from so far away. Regardless, Ortiz is the more talented of the two (and of the division) and if he's as smart as I think he is, he'll have a plan.

Look man I said this ship a long time ago. I flicks with Wilder but Ortiz is the only guy that can beat Wilder. Once he lands on Wilder its lights out. Wilder will try to box because he can't get wreck less and wing any wild shots in this fight because once he gets clipped it will be the turning of the fight and once Wilder loses his legs it's all over.

Nobody cared about Ortiz until he ko'd jennings, and wilder would do much worse to anyone Ortiz faced. You can't insult Wilders opposition and praise ortizs. Wilder puts fat boy to bed.
I do respect Ortizs skill and am not taking anything away from him. Jennings was a good win. The Thompson fight was just sad though

I think Ortiz blows through every other HW but I'm not sure about Wilder. IF he can find his way in, King Kong will sleep him.
Really? Stivirne was a dehydrated lump of meat just standing there. Fury would definatly be the most difficult test for any heavyweight. Wilder defence is leaky as f compared to fury's

Ortiz is infinitely better schooled and more talented than Bum Squad, as well as being far more experienced. Ortiz knocks him out.

He looked that way because of the range+power. Many were calling Stiverne to win that (Peter Fury picked Stiverne by KO!) so let's not pretend he wasn't decent competition.
Tyson has more talent but he stands little chance against Wilder simply because styles make fights. Any man that has wanted to put hands on Fury has done so and some real scrubs have wobbled him. Fury could hit Deontay but Fury has little power. When those two go to exchange you can rest assured Fury's chin will be the first to go. It's just too much power and Fury's reach won't be there to save him this time.

Yes a healthy Stiverne would have been good competition. But anyone that has seen stiverne's other fights could tell something was clearly wrong physically with him.

Oh come on, wilder has good power but its not super human. Skpilka is very chinny, was down 5 times prior to the wilder bout, and he goes 10 rounds. Drummer boy went 9 rounds, Duhapas went 11, a shell of stiverne went the distance

Fury has only been hit when clowning with his hands down. Hitting him clean is hard when he's focussed. And Fury has decent enough power, especially against a guy that was dropped by a smurf in the amateurs and Harold sconiers

No disrespect to you but that's absolute bullshyt. I've been watching him for years now and I even recall a commentator saying once that Fury fights were exciting because he reached the brink of disaster in nearly every fight but always came back to win. That stuck in my head because it was exactly why I loved watching him fight. Marginal skills but great heart and I love him for that (but I'm not going to pretend he's the technician people are trying to make him out to be).

Yeah back in 2009 he was an over weight muppet that never trained.

But you obviously havent watched him recently under Peter Fury. Fury looks gumby because he is 6'9, but his defensive skill and ability to move are crazy for a man of his size. I cant recall him getting hit clean in a long time. He embarrassed Chisora in the rematch, won every round against Hammer, and beat Klitschko relatively comfortably.

The Cunningham fight was bad, but Peter Fury wasnt in his corner for that one.

Let's not stretch the truth. He looked good against Chisora (who is shot) in the 2nd fight and Hammer (definition of a can), both guys who he absolutely should look marvelous against. Wlad looked the the ass-end of awful against Fury and Fury was barely better than that so, again, don't get lost in wishful thinking.
I like Fury but I can't lie about his abilities.
I can tell you're not going to let this go so I'll just leave it at that.
