He was Already scheduled an training for the fight. You know Diaz was in Cabo on vacation when they called: him. If anything give Diaz credit for not even having a training camp

He challenged himself, 25lbs is a big jump in weight. I think he can still hold his head high and get ready for his next match.

It's also a different opponent. He spent two months training for a 5'7 grappler. Then he gets an opponent change to a 6'0 guy with a longer reach on 10 days notice.

I'd like to see a rematch at 155 at some point. Maybe with a full camp Diaz still beats him. But maybe McGregor prepares better, who knows.

For those who don't follow MMA McGregor has THREE quick taps now in MMA. He got to where he was Saturday night with two previous quick taps. He's not going anywhere. This is a more competitive sport than boxing. Guys fight top guys each fight. You will lose. There will be no Rocky or Floyd in MMA. Or if there is he's gonna be considered one of the greatest athletes of all time when he comes about.

I will say there is certainly a legit hole in McGregor's game with his lack of skills/confidence on the ground (I & a few others brought up the possibility of a submission loss in threads before the fight knowing this & knowing Diaz has underrated submission skills), but the reality is he's gotten over with that hole everyone he's fought in the UFC has surely known about with his high level of talent standing/striking.
That dude John Jones is damn near perfect doe... His 1 loss was a bogus dq. After he beat Cormier convincingly he was the best, i knew his striking was top notch but he outwrestled cormier making Jones i think the perfect fighter. Mma is crazy evolving, kids nowadays just study mixed martial arts in general & not just 1 discipline. I think in the future we will have more john jones but to his credit hes doing it now...

Gregor talks a lot of smack, but he shuts his mouth when it comes to Tyson.

He don't want Tyson to send his crew of gypsies.

              defend that if you want.
Conor is for sure a front runner. Last night was the 3rd longest fight of his career. 18 of his 19 wins are by stoppage. 12 of those 18 happened within 3 minutes. He's like a Tyson type guy who didn't need to develop stamina all that much. He's running over most opponents. Its no surprise he's gassing towards the end of the first cuz he's usually back in his dressing room at that point of the fight. And it seems like bullies tend to quit quicker when cats don't just fold. So I think there is definitely something you are picking up on thats correct.

Jon Jones is undefeated in my & I imagine many fans eyes so yea I'd agree with that. He's certainly the closest thing to what I'm suggesting isn't possible in MMA over a career with how things work, but he's got many years to go before he's a Rocky or a Floyd doe & I suspect in another 5-8yrs he'll have lost, a few times, legitly too.

And for sure the kids coming up now are gonna be sick when they get to that UFC level of competition. There is more kids training than ever & there is more amateur promotions to hone your skills before you dip into the pro game. This next era of MMA guys are gonna be nuts & this current era is gonna look like that UFC 1 era in comparison to the next one.

It is embarrassing when you talk as much s....t as McrGregor has. he bought into his own hype and got his ass whipped by the MMA equivalent of Victor Ortiz. McGregor should fight the rest of his career without mentioning Floyd Mayweather's name.
