the way UFC fights are put together with the best always fighting the best....shouldnt be a big deal as far as losing and no point in dudes putting too much importance on undefeated records

It's not just that everything was a power shot, he did it with an extra 25lbs of weight on his frame and he burned out much faster than usual. He will learn a valuable lesson from it.

He fights at 145, he's never been in a fight anywhere near that heavy and it showed. He gassed and learned an important lesson.
He has already stated he'll 'see Nate again' and that he'll give 170 another try. He's willing to take risks 25lbs above his fight weight while other fighters cry about 5lbs and less.

He put on muscle in this fight as opposed to rehydrating to 170 ish.
Muscles require more oxygen when you're punching a **** load.
Making 145 is very difficult for him, but I felt 155 would have been a good move.
Giving away 170 gives the opponent an advantage when they asked for 165...
